“Therefore,
having been justified by faith, we have peace with Elohim through our Master Yehoshua ha’Mashiach.”- Romans
5:1
To
understand justification, we must first really know in our hearts that we are guilty.
The Torah declarers us all guilty.
“ For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of Elohim.”- Romans 3:23
Yehovah’s standards are very high requiring perfection and holiness. No one can come to
the Father without being cleansed first. What can we bring to Yehovah to make
us acceptable to Him? In the First Covenant, innocent animals were killed and
their blood was applied on the altar. The High Priest went into the Holy of
Holies with blood. He had bells on the
bottom of the garment so that he could be heard when he was inside. The belles
spoke of proclamation, and the pomegranate spoke of the Torah. There are 613
seeds in that fruit, and there are, according to the rabbis, 613 commandments
in the Torah.
The
point is that Yehovah wants obedience not only worship. No one was allowed to go inside the Most Holy
Place, except the High Priest once a year to atone for his own sins first, and then for those of the
congregation. He had to be cleansed from
his sin first, by offering and applying the blood of an animal, or his life was in danger. Why is this? Because
the penalty of our sin brings forth death. Yehovah is so Holy that His holiness would
kill anyone who is in sin. Blood had to
be shed daily to teach them of the gravity of their sin and to cover their
iniquity. However,
“ For it
is not possible that the blood of bulls and goats could take away sins.” -Romans 10:4
All those sacrifices were a shadow of the real
acceptable Perfect Sacrifice of the Perfect Lamb of Elohim, Who would take away the sin of the world by dying only
once.
“But this Man, after He had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down at the right hand
of Elohim.” - Hebrews 10:12
Yehoshua sacrifice has made us righteous and
declares us believers not guilty (2
Cor. 5:21). Are you righteous?
His Blood will cleanse you if you repent of your sin. You need to believe in Yehoshua
as the Only Sacrifice capable of removing all your sins. To repent is to
acknowledge your sin, and to forsake it. Repentance does not give you the
license to continue in your sin after you confess it. It means a complete
change of heart and life style. So now, repent, be forgiven and Yehovah will
accept you.
