THE POOR AND YOU AND ME

Part 2

Yehovah hears the cry of the poor. We may not like them because they do not fit into our glamorous lifestyle, by Yehovah will listen to them when they cry unto Him, and He sees how we treat them. This will not be for our advantage.

Let us consider the story Yehoshua taught concerning the rich man and the poor.

Luqas/Luke 16:19-21

“There was a certain rich man who was clothed in purple and fine linen and fared sumptuously every day. But there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, full f sores, who was laid at his gate, desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man’s table. Moreover the dogs came and licked his sores.”

Yehoshua continued to tell us that these men, both died. The rich man went into a place of torment where it was very hot, and he was tormented in the flames.  But Lazarus went into glory and was now in the arms of Abraham. Their roles changed, as we will read.

One day the rich man saw Lazarus in the bosom of Abraham, and he cried out to him to send Lazarus. “Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.’ (See v.24)

Let me make a personal remark now. Can you see this proud and uncaring man how he still looked upon Lazarus a servant, a slave who needed to serve him, but while both were alive, he would not feed him. He disdained him. He let him starve and did not bother with all the wealth he had to get medication Lazarus medication for his wounds!  However now he needs him, and he does not mind having Lazarus come close to him and even put water in his mouth! Please pause for a moment and think about this. May we never be guilty as this rich man!

But Abraham answered him saying that he had received good things in life, and now he was tormented, while Lazarus received evil things, but now he was comforted. See the whole story in Luqas/Luke 16:19-21

This story is very clear and is a warning for every one of us. We cannot disregard the poor that Yehovah sends to us to be our blessing.  If we open our hearts and give to them what they need, we do well, and receive a blessing. But judgment will come upon us if we close our ears to the cry of the poor.

Yehovah cares for them and listen to their cry for help.

Tehillim/Psalm 70:5

But I am poor and needy; make haste to me, O Elohim! You are my help and my deliver; O Yehovah, do not delay!

Tehillim/Psalm 83:2,3

How long will you judge unjustly, and show partiality to the wicked? Defend the poor and fatherless; do justice to the afflicted and needy. Deliver the poor and needy; free them from the hand of the wicked.

Let us beware and understand that we have an obligation to give to the poor. Let us not judge on appearances. We may not want to give because they may use that money for drugs or alcohol. We do not know that, and if they do that they will be judged by the Just Judge, and not by us. We are responsible to care for them according to our ability and give in the name of Yehoshua. We must give in His Name, and He will reward us for our obedience. Let me say something you may not want to hear. If that beggar had been your brother and both of you died. You went to hell, your brother to Heaven. Can you imagine your torment in the flames? You despised your own brother. Well, we are all connected. We are the children of one Creator: Yehovah. We are all brothers and sisters in His eyes. We must consider that He loves the poor and He will listen to the cry of his heart all the time, but He will not listen to your cry if you have no compassion for the poor. Yehovah needs each of us. The rich need to give to the poor, and even the poor must to give to other poor souls. Each one of us must use the blessings we have received according to the will of our Father Yehovah who has provided for us abundantly.

Mishley/Proverbs 14:31

He who oppresses the poor reproaches his Maker, but he who honors Him has mercy on the needy.

When we provide for the poor, we are honoring Yehovah! This is great! He notices everything we do, and we will be blessed indeed.

Tehillim/Psalm 72:12

He will deliver the needy when he cries, the poor also, and him who has no helper.

Tehillim/Psalm 10:2

The wicked in his pride persecute the poor; let them be caught in the plots which they have devised.

Remember the Scripture in the book Galatians?

Galatiyim/Galatians 6:7

Do not be deceived, Elohim is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.

We saw this in the rich man’s life. He would not give to the poor at his gate, but later own he ended begging to Father Abraham for help. The situation was reversed. This is a law of the kingdom. We know this happens all the time. If we persecute others, we end up been persecuted! And Yehovah will not forget our actions, for they are all written in our books in Heaven.

The Great White Throne Judgment

Chazon/Revelation 20:12-14

And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before Elohim, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books. The sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them. And they were judged, each one according to his works. Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire.

Amos 5:10-14

They hate the one who rebukes in the gate, and they abhor the one who speaks uprightly. Therefore, because you tread down the poor and take grain taxes from him, though you have built houses of hewn stone, yet you shall not dwell in them; you have planted pleasant vineyards, but you shall no drink wine from them. For I know your manifold transgressions and your mighty sins: afflicting the just and taking bribes; diverting the poor from justice at the gate. Therefore the prudent keep silent at that time, for it is an evil time. Seek good and not evil, that you may live.

Yehovah is not sleeping, and He cares for the poor as He also cares for you and me. We must live our lives according to His will, and we will be blessed.

And now let talk about the blessing we receive when we care for the poor.

Tehillim/Psalm 112:9

He has dispersed abroad, he has given to the poor; his righteousness endures forever; his horn will be exalted with honor.

Mishley/Proverbs 19:17

He who has pity on the poor lends to Yehovah, and He will pay back what he has given.

Yehovah has blessed us to be able to use the money according to His need. He uses us to give to the poor for Him. Because all we have is His anyway, and He decides how we need to use His money. This may seem hard for some to understand, but it is reality.

Devarim/Deuteronomy 6:4-5

Sh’ma Yisra’el: Yehovah Eloheinu, Yehovah echad!

Hear O Israel, Yehovah our Elohim is One.

“You shall love Yehovah your Elohim with all Your heart, with all you soul, and with all your strength.

THE POOR -AND-YOU- AND -ME

Shalom! Yehovah bless you today.

I have been speaking about the widows and the orphans at length. Today we will examine the Scriptures concerning the stranger and the poor.

Six years you shall sow your land and gather in its produce, but the seventh year you shall let it rest and lie fallow, that the poor of your people may eat; and what they leave, the beasts of the field may eat. In like manner you shall do with your vineyard and your olive grove.

Shemot/Exodus 23:10-11

You notice that Yehovah does not criticize the poor for been poor. In fact in another Scripture, He says that we always will have the poor, however He does not forget any of them! We may not Yehovah their Creator!

When the woman anointed Yehoshua’s feet the disciples said:

“Why this waste? For this fragrant oil might have been sold for much and given to the poor? But Yehoshua was aware if it, He said to them, “Why do you trouble the woman? For she has done a good work for Me. For you have the poor always, but Me you do not have always. For in pouring this fragrant oil on My body, she did it for My burial. Assuredly, I say to you, wherever this gospel is preached in the whole world, what this woman has done will also be told as a memorial to her.”

Mattithyahu/Matthew 26:11

Yehoshua did not say it was not important to give to the poor. He knew His own word!  Every Hebrew person also knew the importance of giving to the poor. However, this was worship to the King of Kings in preparation for His own burial. Yehoshua knew why the Father sent this woman to anoint Him. He would die soon, and this act of worship would be told all over the world. He knew His time was coming. It is another testimony concerning the fact that He knew He would be crucified very soon. And He told them they would have the poor always. They would be always giving to the poor.  But He would not be with them much longer.  And this is a fact, but Yehovah cares for the poor and never forgets them. And He uses us to bless them.

And now let us read some more important verses of Scripture.

“If there is a poor man of your brethren, within any of the gates in your land which Yehovah your Elohim is giving you, you shall not harden your heart nor shut your hand from your poor brother, but you shall open your hand wide to him and willingly lend sufficient for his need, whatever he needs. Beware lest there be a wicked thought in your heart, saying, “The seventh year, the year of release is at hand.”

11 For the poor will never cease from the land; therefore I command you, saying, ‘You shall open your hand wide to your brother, to your poor and your needy, in your land.’

Devarim/Deuteronomy 15:7-9,11

Yehovah cares for the poor, and He uses the poor to be a blessing to us. Indeed, it is a blessing that poor people are in the land. It is a blessing to give to the poor. I will talk about this later.

‘If one of your brethren becomes poor, and has sold some of his possession, and if his redeeming relative comes to redeem it, then he may redeem what his brother sold.’

Wayyiqra/Leviticus 25:25

Every tribe was supposed to keep his own land that was inherited when entering the promised land. But if that person for some reason became poor and needed money, to the keep the land in the same tribe and family, the closes relatives could buy it. Yehovah cares about all of us, rich or poor and He makes provision.

Giving gifts to the poor when you celebrate.

When there is something special happening and you are rejoicing, do not forget to include the poor in your celebration as it was established by Mordecai after the victory.

And Mordecai wrote these things and sent letters to all the Jews, near and far, who were in all the provinces of King Ahasuerus, to establish among them that they should celebrate yearly the fourteenth and fifteenth days of the month of Adar, as the days on which the Jews had rest from their enemies, as the month which was turned from sorrow to joy for them, and from mourning to a holiday; and from mourning to a holiday; that they should make them days of feasting and joy, of sending presents to one another and gifts to the poor.

Haddassah/Ester 9:20-22

Yehoshua said:

When you give a dinner or a supper, do not ask your friends, your brothers, your relatives, nor rich neighbors, lest they also invite you back, and you be repaid. But when you give a  feast, invite the poor, the maimed, the lame, the blind. And you will be blessed, because they cannot repay you; for you shall be repaid at the resurrection of the just.”

Luqas/Luke 14:12-14

Giving to the poor should be something that we do without  been told, if we obey the commandment of loving our neighbor as ourselves. Indeed, this is very important commandment and embraces every relationship, near or far. But are we obeying this commandment? Or are we looking the other way?

You shall not take vengeance, nor bear any grudge against the children of your people, but you shall love your neighbor as yourself; I am Yehovah.”

33,34 And if a stranger dwells with you in your land, you shall not mistreat him. The stranger who dwells among you shall be to you as one born among you, and you shall love him as yourself.

Wayyiqra/Leiviticus 19:15, 33-34

I am very sad when I hear the hate, at times in people’s voices, when they mention the strangers.

I agree that they must come into another land after they have gone through the process of the paperwork. They need to be accepted by the country they want to live in.

I know the process because it had to do this too. But this process is necessary to protect the nation from the enemy who comes in to destroy.

With all this said, I conclude that we, as followers of Mashiach/Messiah, must show our love to them too. Who knows if they did not come to us to find the Savior? Could it be that missions are coming to us, instead of us going to the mission fields?

However, the government is responsible to do the check for anyone who comes abusively. If they do not comply to the Law, something is not right.

Presently in my neighborhood there are four families who have displayed their idols outside their house. Only one of those is from Hawaii, the others are from other states. I have an obligation to be kind to them, and to love them, in spite of their sin of idolatry. I need wisdom on how I can share my faith with them. If they will respond it would be great, if not I am still obligated to show respect and to be a good neighbor loving them no matter what.

We must remember never to do anything hateful to other which is hateful to us. That is the whole Torah concerning the commandments.

Yehoshua said it this way:

“Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets.”

Mattithyahu/Matthew 7:12

This is the second Commandment, but the first is:

Hear O Israel: Yehovah our Elohim, Yehovah is one! You shall love Yehovah your Elohim with all our heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength.

Devarim/Deuteronomy 6:4,5

I will continue speaking about the poor  on my next message soon. For now, please read the Scriptures that speak about loving and giving to the poor.

THREE DAYS AND THREE NIGHTS

Part 2

I hope you have also read part one of “Three Days And Three Nights.” It is important to read these messages today.  You can actually copy, for they are long messages. But the truth I must proclaim.

You are the one who decides if you are going to serve Yehovah His way, or we do as the Pharisees of His time on this earth. They made up many extra rules on how to keep the Precious Eternal and Perfect Word He had given us to observe. And Yehoshua rebuked them.  He demands we keep His Feasts on His Days, and they are His Feasts, and not Jewish Feasts as the churches teach! Let this truth be completely clear today in your heart and mind today, for the Scriptures declares that the Sabbath and all the Feasts are His Feasts!  And He has given us appointed times to come to Him. He has never given us the sun day to worship Him. He has not given us Easter to worship Him. We follow His ways alone. This is the first month of His Calendar. And we know when the first month of the year begins because we watch the moon when it first appears, and the barley also must be ready to harvest in the next two weeks.  His Calendar is regulated according to the moon, not according to the sun! Please Shemot/Exodus 12.

Wayyiqra/Leviticus 23:2, 4, 37

Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them: “The Feasts of Yehovah, which you shall proclaim to be holy convocations, these are My Feasts.”

4 “These are the Feasts of Yehovah, holy convocation which you shall proclaim at their appointed times.”

37 “These are the Feasts of Yehovah which you shall proclaim to be holy convocations.”

Begin to serve Him His way, and on His time, and not on the Catholic Church made up days. They offer worship to a pagan goddess “Easter” in the name of  Jesus which is also not the correct name of Yehoshua. With this said, let us now read the message.

We also see that Yehoshua said that when the Temple would be destroyed, He would raise it up the third day. The Temple is composed of three parts, the Outer Court, the Holy Place and the Most Holy Place. Yahoshua was the living Temple, and the body is also composed of Body, Soul, and Spirit, three parts.

We are also called the Temple of the Holy Spirit.

Qorin’tiyim 1/1 Corinthians 3:16:

“Do you not know that you are the temple of Elohim and that the Spirit of Elohim dwells in you?”

Kepha 1/1 Peter 2:5:

“You also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to Elohim through Yahoshua HaMashiach.”

Mattithyahu/Matthew 27: 50-53

“And Yahoshua cried out again with a loud voice, and yielded up His spirit. Then, behold, the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom, and the earth quaked, and the rocks were split, and the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep were raised; and coming out of the graves after His resurrection, they went into the holy city and appeared to many.”
(Please read all of Wayyiqra/Leviticus 23, 25’ Devarim/Deuteronomy 16)

I had difficult time understanding these last few verses in the gospel of Mattithyahu/Mattitthew, and I am sure you have had trouble with it also. Let me explain in a few words, as I have learned from a specific leader that teaches on the Feasts of Yehovah
After the High Priest killed the last Passover lamb, in the evening He would go alone to mark the First Fruits Offering heaves. He would tie them, and after that, he stayed three days and three nights, on the temple mount in solitude. He was rehearsing the death of the Mashiach/Messiah and His resurrection, but did not know what he was doing.

On the third day after the Passover, which is during the Feast of Unleavened Bread, the High Priest, as far as I understand, would go there with witnesses to cut up the sheaves he previously bound for the First Fruits Offering which he had to prepare to be offered the following morning which is still the THIRD DAY.
Remember that the day does not begin in the morning, but at the time the sun goes down, therefore the priest went at night but it was already the third day. This is a shadow picture of the time of the resurrection of the Messiah.

We read in Yochanan/John 20:11-18 Yehoshua’s encounter with Mary Magdalene. She wanted to cling to His feet, but verse 17 declares, “Yehoshua said to her, do not touch Me, for I have not yet ascended to My Father, but go to My brethren and say to them, I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My Elohim and your Elohim.”
Yehoshua needed to go to His Father first to bring Him the First Fruits of the Resurrection. Those were the people in the graves that He marked at His death, (Mattithyahu/Matthew 27:53) but they did not rise until after His resurrection. Just as the sheaves were openly harvested, also those people, the first fruits from the dead, were also risen after Yehoshua’s resurrection. “They appeared to many,” the Word declares, and many saw them alive! We do not know who they were.

Mattithyahu/Matthew 27:53:

“And coming out of the graves after His resurrection, they went into the holy city and appeared to many.”

He appeared on the third day to two of the disciples on the road to Emmaus. Luqas/Luke 24:13-27 describes His encounter with them.

Yochanan/John 20:1:

“Now on the first day of the week Mary Magdalene went to the tomb early, while it was still dark, and saw that the stone had been taken away from the tomb.”

Mary kept the Sabbath and could not break it by going out to the tomb on the Sabbath, the Blessed Holy Day of rest. The apostles kept the Sabbath even after His death, for this is a perpetual commandment. She had to wait until the Sabbath was over, and it could be that because the Sabbath ends at sundown, and the First Day or Sunday begins after sun down, she could not go because it was dark. She and everyone else needed to wait for the light.

According to the Scriptures Yehoshua could have died at 3:00 pm. Or He could have died also about five pm. One thing is absolutely sure that He was three days and three nights in the tomb therefore since He was placed in the tomb very early, He rose at the same time that He was buried. That was on the Sabbath and not on the Sunday. He had declared to be the Lord/Adon of the Sabbath (See Luqas/Luke 6:1-5), not of the sun day.
The church has hidden this truth in favor of the sun god worship. But we have the responsibility to find out the truth and get rid of all leaven, or false teaching and hypocrisy. You wonder why He also gave to us the Feast of Unleavened Bread?

Please read the following portion of this message.
I need to specify that the 15th day of the first month, which begins the Feast of Unleavened Bread, and it is a High Sabbath. No work can be done. The seventh day of the Feast is also High Sabbath, or a special Sabbath. The Feast of First Fruits is on the First Day of the week, has been reckoned to be the day after the weekly Sabbath, or the eight day after Passover.

So Yehoshua died on the Wednesday fulfilling the Prophecy of Yonah, three days and three nights in the grave, and the following day was a High Sabbath, which was Thursday on our calendar.

They rested on that Thursday which is better known as the High Sabbath, and the following day which is a regular weekday.  Friday, they prepared the spices to embalm Him. Then the next day was the weekly Sabbath and they also rested again.
Then early on the First Day of the week, or Sunday morning, they went to the tomb, but He had already Risen!

Marqos/Mark 2:28: “Therefore the Son of Man is also Lord (Master) of the Sabbath.”
He did not die on Friday and rise on Sunday, or He could not have been not our Savior, but a false prophet. This was done by the Roman Catholic Church to wipe out everything “Jewish” that they could. They changed the Saturday to Sun day, and removed all the Feasts of Yehovah from their Calendar. If you need information on this fact, I do have it.
Three days and three nights, not a day or hour less than what He prophesied.
There is much more to say on this subject, but I will stop here. He is our Savior and was raised from the dead, and if you have doubts of this historical fact, you will die in your sins.

The Feasts were given to all of us, not only to the Jews, as all the Scriptures. They received them first in order to teach us. The Feasts of Yehovah teach us the Gospel, in advance, before the Messiah came into this world. He prepared all of us so that we would get the true meaning of His Death and Resurrection when He would actually come and fulfill the Feasts and all the Scriptures. The Feasts are prophetic shadow pictures of things to come, and we are also told to rehearse them in their season and time every year.
And now I will speak about The Feast of Unleavened Bread which is of the duration of seven days and as mentioned above, begins on the 15th or the day after the Passover, and ends on the 21th, on which days the believers are commanded to rest from work and assemble to worship the Almighty.
Leviticus 23:5-8: “And on the fifteenth day of the same month is the Feast of Unleavened Bread to Yehovah; SEVEN days you must eat unleavened bread. On the first day you shall have a holy convocation; you shall do not customary work on it. But you shall offer and offering made by fire to Yehovah for seven days. The seventh day shall be a holy convocation; you shall do not customary work on it.”
Leaven or yeast is a symbol of sin, hypocrisy and false doctrine. A week represents our  time on this planet, and a house represents us individually and the congregation. We must be cleansed from every trace of sin to participate of the Feast. The church and all assemblies need to be purged by Elohim from all sin, hypocrisy and false doctrine.

Mattithyahu/Matthew 16:6-12:

“Then Yahoshua said to them, ‘Take heed and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and the Sadducees.” And they reasoned among themselves, saying, “It is because we have no bread.” But Yahoshua being aware of it, said to them, “O you of little faith, why do you reason among yourselves because you have brought no bread?” Do you not yet understand, or remember the five loaves of the five thousand and how many baskets you took up? Nor the seven loaves of the four thousand and how many baskets you took up? How is it you do not understand that I did not speak to you concerning bread?-but to beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and Sadducees.” Then they understood that He did not tell them to beware of the leaven of bread, but of the doctrine of the Pharisees and Sadducees.”

1 Corinthians 5:6-8: “Your glorying is not good. Do you not know that a little leaven leavens the whole lump? Therefore purge out the old leaven, that you may be a new lump, since you truly are unleavened. For indeed Messiah our Passover was sacrificed for us. Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, nor with the leaven of malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.”

Luqas/Luke 12:1:

“…Beware of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.”
Anyone who acts religious but does not keep His Commandments is a hypocrite. And anyone who teaches error is giving you spiritually bread with leaven. Leaven corrupts.

Is say: Beware of the false theachings in the church.

‘Qorin’tiyim 2/2 Corinthians 5:21:

“For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of Elohim in Him.”

Ivrim/Hebrews 4:15

“For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin.”

Yochanan/John 1:29:

“Behold the Lamb of Elohim, who takes the sin of the world!”

Kepha 1/1 Peter 1:18-19:

”Knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, like silver or gold, from your aimless conduct received by tradition from your fathers, but with the precious blood of Messiah, as of a lamb without blemish and  without spot.”

He was and is always sinless, for He is our Savior. If He was not born of the Holy Spirit, He could have been our Savior. But this is another message.
Yahoshua fulfilled the Spring Feasts, which are: Passover, Feast of Unleavened Bread, the Feast of First Fruits, and later on Pentecost. This is the Gospel, the Good News, and it is available to all who believe. We are called by the Father  Yehovah to keep the Feasts, and so we must do. Yehoshua is the firstborn from the dead.

Qolasim/Colossians 1:15

“He is the image of the invisible Elohim, the firstborn over all creation.”
“For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren.”

Just always remember if you celebrate Easter you are disobeying your Creator and denying His Son. And without Him you cannot be saved. For He is The Way, The Truth, and The Life.

We will also rise from the dead. We are not just dirt, nor simple matter that will return to the earth. We have a soul and a spirit that was given to us by Yehovah the Creator of this Universe, via Adam, the first created man. Today, you can have eternal life with our Savior, if you embrace His Truth. Call upon Him to save you. Surrender all your problems to Him. Believe in Him the Master and Savior of your life, and see what He will do in your life. His love and peace will replace everything that now is causing you pain and sorrow.

Shalom,

“Ye-varekhekha Yehovah  ve-yishmerekha

Ya’er Yehovah panav ‘eleykha vichunnekha

Yisa Yehovah panav ‘eleykha ve yasem lekha shalom.”

Bemidbar 6:24-26

“Yehovah bless you and keep you;

Yehovah make His Face shine upon you, and be gracious to you;

Yehovah lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace.”

“So they shall put My name on the children of Israel, and I will bless them.”
