Thus the heaven and the earth, and all the host of them, were finished. And on the seventh day Elohim ended His work which He had done, and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had done. Then Elohim blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, because in it He rested from all His work which Elohim had created and made.
Bereshit/Genesis 2:1-3
Did He sanctified or made Holy the first day of the week? No! He blessed the Seventh Day, which is Saturday, and not Sunday, which is the sun god day!
He does not have to say more than 139 times in His Word for us to get it right!
Let us listen how this heresy began. But before that let us read two verses of His Wonderful Powerful Word.
You shall not add to the word which I command you, nor take away from it, that you may keep the commandments of Yehovah your Elohim which I command you.
Devarim/Deuteronomy 4:2
Whatever I command you, be careful to observe it; you shall not add to it nor take away from it.
Devarim/Deuteronomy 12:32
We have the two witnesses necessary to establish anything. But the church has broken this commandment by removing the Sabbath and replacing it with the sun god day.
You will judge if it was right what the church has done, and it continues to do.
In the Catechism of the Council of Trent (1566) we read, ‘It pleased the Church of God that the religious celebration of the Sabbath day should be transferred to ‘the Lord’s Day.’ There were a lot of controversy, but the theologians often appealed to the ecclesiastical origin of Sunday in order to prove their power. They said, “They [the Catholics} refer to the Sabbath-day as having been changed into the Lord’s Day, contrary to the Decalogue, the Ten Commandments. They say, Great is the power of the Church, since it has dispensed with one of the Ten Commandments!” However, the power lies in the poor knowledge of the Word of Yehovah, for the congregation had no Scriptures available. The church forbade the congregation having the Scriptures.
There is much to say on this subject, but I just want to enlighten those people who persist on saying that because we do not have the Commandment written in the New Testament, we do not have to obey it! This of course does not make any sense!
Yehovah spoke and His Word cannot be broken.
After the death of the Apostles there were false teaching beginning to grow from such men called “Church Fathers”, but the final change happened around the third century, according to what I found out. You can search on the internet if you are interested in knowing more about this. And you can buy some books who speak about this, such as “The Sabbath” of Todd D. Bennett and others.
Let me now continue, then I will comment on this. The Catholic Church was formed in 325 C.E at the council of Nicea. This took place through the Roman Emperor Constantine, a faithful worshiper of the sun god Mithras, whose title was “Pontifus Maximus.” The high priest of paganism, he was never converted but had other things in mind, and we know that he wanted to remove everything the Nazarenes or the followers of The Way, were doing. He planned to remove the Sabbath, transferring it to the sun god day, and the Passover, Unleavened Bread and so forth. He made a proclamation on March 7, 321 A.D stating: “All judges and city people and the craftsmen shall rest upon the “Venerable Day of the Sun.”
Canon 29 states: “Christians must not Judaize by resting on the Sabbath, but must work on that day, rather honoring the Lord’s Day; and if they can, resting then as Christians. But if any shall be found to be Judaizers, let them be shut out from Christ.
I hope you understand that Yehoshua did not change the Sabbath to Sunday to honor the sun god day! It was Constantine that on this anti-Semitic gathering that the Sabbath was changed to Sunday to worship the sun god.
How much more do you need to know? Practically, if you continue to worship on Sunday you are anti-Semitic, because this is the root of Sunday worship. What are you going to do now?
Do you need a verse of scripture after knowing all this? Read Shemot/Exodus 20 please, and know that Yehovah never removed the Sabbath which is a sign of the believer. This is how all the Christians holidays began when they chose to worship on the sun god day. Christmas is the birthday of the sun gods. Easter is a pagan fertility goddess event to celebrate Easter, also called Astarte.
The Catholic Church calls changing the Sabbath to Sunday the MARK of their ecclesiastical power. They call it, “Sunday is the mark of our authority!”
But we are no longer ignorant of facts, and we thank Yehovah for it.
Let us read what Yehovah is saying to the Gentiles, who are the non Jewish believers.
“Also the sons of the foreigner who join themselves to Yehovah to serve Him, and to love the name of Yehovah, to be His servants-everyone who keeps from defiling the Sabbath, and holds fast My covenant-even them I will bring to My holy mountain, and make them joyful in My house of prayer. Their burnt offerings and sacrifices will be accepted on My altar; for My house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations.” Yeshayahu/Isaiah 56:6-7
Already I mentioned in other messages that the Sabbath is a sign of the believer.
And Yehovah spoke to Mosheh, saying, “Speak also to the children of Israel, saying: ‘Surely My Sabbaths you shall keep, for it is a sign between Me and you throughout your generations, that you may know that I am Yehovah who sanctifies you. You shall keep the Sabbath, therefore, it is holy to you. Everyone who profanes it shall surely be put to death; for whoever does any work on it, that person shall be cut off from among his people. Work shall be done for six days, but the seventh is the Sabbath of rest, holy to Yehovah. Whoever does any work shall surely be put to death. Therefore the children of Israel shall keep the Sabbath, to observe the Sabbath throughout their generations as a perpetual covenant. It is a sign between Me and the children of Israel forever; for in six days Yehovah made the heavens and the earth, and on the seventh day He rested and was refreshed.
Shemot/Exodus 31: 12-17;
“Moreover I also gave them My Sabbaths, to be a sign between them and Me, that they might know that I am Yehovah who sanctifies them.”
Yechezqel/Ezekiel 20:12
Yehovah is speaking, not man, and He is saying it is a perpetual covenant. He does not have to say it again in the so called New Testament!
Question: Who was alive when He created the world? The Jews? No. Only one man was alive: Adam. We are descendants of Adam, and must keep the Sabbath according to Yehovah’s Command. It is our sign between us and the Creator Yehovah. We keep His commandments because we love Him, and we want to obey Him. He gave this commandment to the Chosen People for them to keep, and to teach the nations, so all people can come into His Kingdom.
If you confess Yehoshua as your Redeemer, you must keep the Sabbath as He did and all the apostles and congregation. I talked about this before.
I also mentioned in another message Ivrim/Hebrews 4:9 which correctly translated does not say, “There remains therefore a rest for the people of God, but “There remains therefore a sabbath for the people of Elohim.
Thus this verse convince you that Yehovah does not change? He has not changed His mind about any Word He has spoken! He is faithful and is not double-minded as we may be.
For I am Yehovah, I do not change.”
Mal’aki/Malachi 3:6
You can make excuses as a gentile believer, and decide you will not keep the Sabbath, but you will not blame me or the teachers and prophets for not warning you.
If you indeed, love Yehovah, and are thankful for the crown of thorns Yehoshua bore for you and was beaten for you, and was pinned on the wooden cross for you, to deliver you from your sin, it is too much to give Him one day He has set apart for you and Him alone? One special day every week that He has chosen, and not the Catholic Church? Personally, I doubt you devotion, if you refuse to give Him time on the day He has requested to spend with Him in a very special way. He spoke it once, and all the church kept this day until the anti-Semitic Constantine came to the young fellowship of believers and destroyed their faith by forcing them to worship on the sun god day! I hope this message today will make you understand once and for all that you are in error if you insist that keeping the Sabbath day is no longer a commandment. Yehovah never removed this Commandment, but He said that it is forever!
I am sorry, but I am tired of having to find believers who proclaim to love Yehovah and are born again but refuse to rest on the day He has chosen. We cannot make our holy days. He has given us the Sabbath to be holy day unto Him. Le us obey Him and be blessed!
