THE LETTERS OF PAUL

Today I need to write some specific Scriptures that are written in the letters of Sha’ul/Paul concerning the Shabbat/Saturday day of rest.
Ivrim/Hebrews 4:9  There remains therefore a rest for the people of God.” NKJV
Ivrim 4:9 “However should be: So there remains a Shabbat–keeping for the people of Elohim.”HS
Many people say that every day is a Sabbath. In simple English they nullified or destroy the Torah because they choose to obey their way. In reality they do not keep any Shabbat for they do not rest at all. No one can keep a Sabbath day of rest every day, for they could not go to work and they would starve to death. Other say they keep Sunday as their Sabbath, but they do not keep the Sabbath when they mower the grass and do all kinds of house work on Sundays. They also go shopping, and they watch television all afternoon, etc. No, they are deceiving themselves, and partially they are deceived  because of errors found in the translation of the Scriptures as we noticed in the above verse. The Word in the Greek says sabbatismos which in English should be translated Shabbat, but the translator used the word rest, which is not the same as Sabbath, although Sabbath is the rest day.
The Sabbath is always the seventh day, or the day after creation. Yehovah blessed the day and made it holy, as mentioned in other messages. The name Sabbath, known as Saturday, derives from Saturn’s day on the Roman pagan calendar. The Romans had many gods, and they dedicated this day to one of their gods.
It is a fact that every day of the week is dedicated to one of their gods.
The word rest in the Greek language is katapausis and is used in many other passages of Scriptures, but not in the above verse I mentioned. It is very sad to realize that the translator have done such terrible error in the Holy Scriptures. I believe they were doing this because they were listening to the anti-Semitic leaders of their day. I am glad that my Italian Bible has written the word Sabbath, and not rest. But most of the translations have mistranslated this very important word.
Let us now look to the whole passage and see if we get the message Yehovah is giving us.
Ivrim/Hebrews 4:1-11 “Therefore, since a promise remains of entering into His rest, let us fear lest any of you seem to have come short of it.
2 for indeed the Good News was brought to us as well as to them, but the Word which they heard did not profit them, not having been mixed with belief in those who heard it.
3 For we who have believed do enter into that rest, as He has said, “As I swore in My wrath, if they shall enter into My rest…” And yet His works have come into being from the foundation of the world.
4 For somewhere He has said thus about the seventh day, “And Elohim rested on the seventh day from all His works,”
5 and in this again, “If they shall enter into My rest…”
6 Since then it remains for some to enter into it, and those who formerly received the Good News did not enter in because of disobedience,
7 He again defines a certain day, “Today,” saying through Dawid so much later, as it has been said, “Today, if you hear His voice, do not harden your hearts.”
8 For if Yehoshua had given them rest, he would not have spoken of another day after that.
9 So there remains a Shabbat-keeping for the people of Elohim.
10 For the one, having entered into His rest, has himself also rested from his works, as Elohim from His own.
11 Let us therefore do our utmost to enter into that rest, lest anyone fall after the same example of disobedience.” HS
This whole passage speaks of the Shabbat, not on a simple rest day. The rest day the Scriptures speak of is the seventh day, or the Sabbath. We rest as Elohim had rested. All believers need to be obedient to the commands He has given us for our own good. None of the Commandments are to punish us by giving us things too hard to do. Keeping the Shabbat is a pleasure, not a yoke of bondage, as some try to call it. They have not yet experienced the joys and blessing or being obedient in keeping all the Commandments, rather than keep only what seems good to them. We must obey out of love, not out of compulsion or duress. We love Him, for He is good to us, He is the One who blesses us every day, and he has blessed us with a special day to be in His presence and rest our bodies. What a blessing is this! No heathen god (for there is no other Elohim) can say that their spirit guide has given them such blessing. Disobedience is what places all of us under the devil’s rules. Let us be obedient and keep His Commandments a He has given us and forsake the traditions of men.
Now let us read another disputed passage by the religious leaders.
Qorin’tiyim 1/1 Corinthians 16:1-3 “Now concerning the collection for the saints, as I have given orders to the churches of Galatia, so you must do also: on the first day of the week let each one of you lay something aside, storing up as he may prosper, that there be no collections when I come. And when I come, whomever you approve by your letters I will send to bear your gift to Jerusalem.” NKJV
Now it is important to remember that the day begins at sundown and ends twenty fours later on sundown. I already mentioned this fact in other messages that Shaul/Paul was telling them to make sure they have the collection taken on the first day of the week which is soon after their meeting on Shabbat after sundown. No one can buy or sell on the Sabbath, therefore after sundown they met and eat and could have money with them. Before they could spend it during the week before he would arrive, it was important for them to lay aside the tithes and offerings. I do this myself; as soon as I get paid I put aside the money that belongs to Yehovah.  The fact that the word speaks of Sunday they think it is saying they had a Sunday meeting. This is far from the truth, for Sha’ul met with all only on the Sabbath, as we read in the Scriptures. This scriptures support the fact they were keeping the Sabbath because they did not carry money on that day. But people who do not understand the Torah they twist this passage together with many others.
And now let us look on another verse that many leaders and believers use to support their doctrine.
Romiyim/Romans 14:1-6 “Receive one who is weak in the faith, but not to disputes over doubtful things. 2  For one believes he may eat all things, but he who is weak eats only vegetables.  3 Let not him who eats despise him who does not eat judge him who eats; for Elohim has received him.  4 Who are you to judge another’s servant? To his own master he stands or falls. Indeed, he will be made to stand, for Elohim is able to make him stand.  5 One person esteems one day above another; another esteems every day alike. Let each be fully convinced in his own mind. 6 He who observes the day observes it to Yehovah; and he does not observe the day, to Yehovah he does not observe it. He who eats, eats to Yehovah, for he gives Elohim thanks; and he who does not eat, to Yehovah he does not eat, and gives Elohim thanks.”
This passage is more difficult to understand if we do not know the context by which was written. The fact that speaks of holidays it does not mean he is speaking of the Feasts of Yehovah. On the contrary, Paul was speaking to new believers who in the past they had kept special days and they fasted to their gods. Let us remember that even any catholic person has fasted and kept many days in the year to sanctify their special gods/saints. He was not speaking to Jewish believers for the Commandments are not disputable or doubtful things. The Commandments are given to us by Yehovah and they are eternal, and cannot pass away.  Paul was addressing issues that were of the Torah, but of the Roman culture. He was teaching new believers that needed to be instructed and delicately introduced to holiness. Many of them may have been Temple prostitutes! Let us not think for a moment that the Apostle Paul was contrary to the Torah. I will speak more about this in other messages.
Another similar misinterpreted verse is in Galatians: “You observe days and month and seasons and years.” Galatiyim/Galatians 4:10
Many read this to say that Paul was indeed rebuking the believers for observing the Sabbath. However let us read in context.
Galatiyim 4:8 “But then indeed, when you did not know Elohim, you served those which by nature are not gods. But now after you have know Elohim, or rather are known by Elohim, how is it that you turn again to the weak and beggarly elements, to which you desire again to be in bondage? 10 You observe days and months and seasons and years. 11 I am afraid for you, lest I have labored for you in vain.”
I am a simple person, but I can understand what Sha’ul/Paul was saying, and I know now you also know and understand the truth.

Yehovah bless you and keep you;
Yehovah make His face shine upon you,
And be gracious to you;
Yehovah lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace (shalom).

THREE DAYS AND THREE NIGHTS

(Part one)
Mattithyahu/Matthew 3:13-17 Then Yehoshua came from Galilee to John at the Jordan to be baptized by him. And John tried to prevent Him, saying, ‘I need to be baptized by You, and are You coming to Me?’ But Yehoshua answered and said to him, “Permit it to be so now, for thus it is fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness.” Then he allowed Him. When He had been baptized, Yehoshua came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened to Him, and He saw the Spirit of Elohim descending like a dove and alighting upon Him. And suddenly a voice came from heaven, saying ‘This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”

Mattithyahu/Matthew 12-38-40 Then some of the scribes and Pharisees answered, saying, ‘Teacher, we want to see a sign from You.”But He answered and said to them, “An evil and adulterous generation seeks after a sign, and no sign will be given to it except the sign of the prophet Yonah. For as Yonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the great fish, so will the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.

Mattithyahu/Matthew 16:4 “A wicked and adulterous generation seeks after a sign, and no sign shall be given to it except the sign of the prophet Yonah.”

Kepha/Peter declared Yehoshua to be the Ben Elohim.
Mattithyahu/Mathew 16:16  “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living Elohim.”

But He warned them to not let anyone know about His identity.
Mattithyahu/Matthew 16:20-21“Then He commanded His disciples that they should tell no one that He was Yehoshua haMashiach. From that time Yehoshua began to show to His disciples that He must go to Yerushalayim , and suffer many things from the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised the third day.”
Marqos/Mark 8:31: And He began to teach them that the Son of Man must suffer many things, and be rejected by the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and after three days rise again.”

Luqas/Luke 11:29-30  And while the crowds were thickly gathered together, He began to say, “This is an evil generation. It seeks a sign, and no sign will be given to it except the sign of Jonah the prophet. For as Jonah became a sign to the Ninevites, so also the Son of Man will be to this generation.”

Yochanan/John 2:18-19  So the Jews answered and said to Him, ‘What sign do You show to us, since You do these things?’ Yehoshua answered and said to them, “Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.”

Marqos/Mark 8: 11-12: Then the Pharisees came out and began to dispute with Him, seeking from Him a sign from heaven, testing Him. But He sighed deeply in His spirit, and said, “Why does this generation seek a sign? Assuredly, I say to you, no sign shall be given to this generation.”

He was frustrated with them, for He had already told them more than once that the sign would be the sign of the prophet Yonah.

The first thing I must mention is the fact that the Yonah, or dove, came down from Heaven confirming the Word of the Father, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”
The dove did not come from the farm, but from Heaven from the Father. It was not one earthly dove, but a Spiritual One. Think about this.
Now I will explain the two fold signs. When He was baptized the record in the Scriptures, and in the Book of Mattithyahu/Matthew 3:17 declare that the Holy Spirit came down like a dove, as already mentioned. What is the name of the dove in Hebrew? It is Yonah, or Jonah in English.

The Hebrew letters for Yonah are, yod, vav, nun, hey. Knowing the Hebrew letters we can go further into describing the meaning of the sign Yonah. The pictograph of the letter yod is - a hand, arm work, deed; vav is nail, peg, add, and; nun is the picture of a seed, fish, activity, life; the letter hey – Lo! Behold, the. These letters then give us the picture of a person with the hands raised!
So we can say that Yonah according to the Pictograph can also mean: the hand
was nailed and behold the Life, the Seed! Or: Behold the Life, the Seed that was nailed.
This is something I try to put together because I sensed there is much more to the dove sign than what we have been told. We had only been taught that it represented the Holy Spirit.

This dove sign actually described the complete identity and ministry of the Messiah, Yehoshua, but no one saw it. However, now knowledge is increasing, according to the Prophet Daniel, and He is revealing to us things that were not known in the past.
Dani’el 12:4: “…and knowledge shall increase.” We see this taking place in this generation.
We need to have knowledge.
Hoshea/Hosea 4:6: “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.”

What did Yonah do? He preached judgment. However even though Yehoshua did the same thing in many different ways, they were blind and did not understand His mission.
He corrected them of their error and would not do their takanot and ma’asim, or man’s doctrines. In fact this was probably the main reason they crucified Him, besides the fact they accuse Him of making Himself Elohim, which of course He was.
But when Yonah preached the whole city responded. Let us listen to the Scriptures.
Yonah 3:7-9:  And he (the King) caused it to be proclaimed and published throughout Nineveh by the decree of the king and his nobles, saying, “Let neither man nor beast, herd nor flock, taste anything; do not let them eat, or drink water. But let man and beast be covered with sackcloth, and cry mightily to Elohim; yes, let everyone turn from his evil way and from the; violence that is in His hands. Who can tell if Elohim will turn and relent, and turn away from His fierce anger, so that we may not perish?”

Please, understand that Yonah was not visible to anyone except to Yehovah. He was alive in the belly of the fish. Yehoshua was also visible only to His Father, but not to us. He also was in the bowels of the earth alive until the pre-ordained time, which was the third day, on the Sabbath, and not on the Sun-day; as it is usually taught and celebrated by those who are ignorant of the Scripture
Yehovah gave the sign at the very beginning of Yehoshua’s ministry, but no one saw it. Then He spelled it out, but they could not understand. Finally in the last verse we read that He said to the Pharisees that He would give no sign. He had enough with their testing.
Concerning the numbers in the Scriptures, we see specific numbers appearing over and over again. The number three is the number of Divine Perfection. Yehovah is Omniscient, Omnipresent, and Omnipotent.
So the number Three in Scriptures describes to us Yehovah in His complete perfection. We also see the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, who in reality is Yehovah’s and Yehoshua’s Spirit.
When Yehoshua was missing at the age twelve, and He was found in the Temple talking with the leadership after three days, we notice that the number 12 is 1+2 = 3; once again we see the Deity of the Son, and a shadow of the third day, which speaks to us of the resurrection and the Millennium.

He was found on the third day. This is also going to be the day that the Jewish people, His people, will be able to SEE Him for Who He is. Although many Jews are now serving the Mashiach, on the third day, or the third Millennium, after the fullness of the Gentile will manifest, they also will serve Him.

The Gentiles need to let go of their strange doctrines of men, and accept the Torah as part of their Covenant with the Mashiach. If the Christians want to be part of the Olive Tree, they need to be one with the Jewish people.
I want to point out Marqos/Mark 8:2: “I have compassion of the multitude, because they have now continued with Me three days and have nothing to eat.”

He waited to feed them until the third day. Do you suppose He was trying to give them some things they needed to think about? He waited three days and then He fed them. Now I believe is the third day, and Yehoshua is feeding the Jews. He is appearing to many, Arabs and Jews and they are receiving Him.
He has given us many signs.  Now He is indeed feeding us with His Word, and we receive His wisdom and understanding.

We also notice that Yehoshua said that when the Temple would be destroyed He would raise it up the third day. The Temple is composed of three parts, the Outer Court, the Holy Place and the Most Holy Place. Yehoshua was the living Temple. The human body is also composed of Body, Soul and Spirit.
We are also called the Temple of the Holy Spirit.
Qorin’tiyim 1/ 1 Corinthians 3:16: Do you not know that you are the temple of Elohim and that the Spirit of Elohim dwells in you?”

Kepha1/1 Peter 2:5: “You also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to Elohim through Yehoshua HaMashiach.”

We read in Mattithyahu/Matthew 27: 50-53 the following, “And Yehoshua cried out again with a loud voice, and yielded up His spirit. Then, behold, the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom, and the earth quaked, and the rocks were split, and the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep were raised; and coming out of the graves after His resurrection, they went into the holy city and appeared to many.

I had difficult time understanding these last few verses, and I am sure you have had trouble with it also. Let me explain in a few verses, as I have learned from a specific leader that teaches on the Feasts of Yehovah.

After the High Priest killed the last Passover lamb, in the evening He would go alone to mark the First Fruits Offering heaves. He would tie them, and after that, he stayed three days and three nights, on the temple mount in solitude. He was rehearsing the death of the Messiah and resurrection of the Messiah but did not know what he was doing.

On the third day after the Passover, which is during the Feast of Unleavened Bread, the High Priest, as far as I understand, would go there with witnesses to cut up the sheaves he previously bound for the First Fruit Offering which he had to prepare to be offered the following morning which is still the THIRD DAY.
Remember that the day does not begin in the morning, but at the time the sun goes down, therefore the priest went at night but it was already the third day. This is a shadow picture of the time of the resurrection of the Messiah.
We read in Yochanan/John 20:11-18 the Lord’s encounter with Mary Magdalene. She wanted to cling to His feet, but verse 17 declares, “Yehoshua said to her, do not touch Me, for I have not yet ascended to My Father, but go to My brethren and say to them, I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My Elohim and your Elohim.”

Yehoshua needed to go to His Father to bring Him the First Fruits of the Resurrection. Those were the people in the graves that He marked at His death, (Mattithyahu/Matthew 27:53).

They did not rise until after His resurrection. Just as the sheaves were openly harvested, also those people, the first fruits from the dead, were also seeing by people after Yehoshua’s resurrection. “They appeared to many,” the Word declares, and many saw them alive.
Mattithyahu/Matthew 27:53: “And coming out of the graves after His resurrection, they went into the holy city and appeared to many.”

He appeared on the third day to two of the disciples on the road to Emmaus. Luqas/Luke 24:13-27 describes His encounter with them.

Yochanan/John 20:1: “Now on the first day of the week Miryam/Mary Magdalene went to the tomb early, while it was still dark, and saw that the stone had been taken away from the tomb.”
Miryam kept the Sabbath, and could not break it by going out to the tomb on the Sabbath, the blessed day of rest. The apostles kept the Sabbath even after His death, for this is a perpetual commandment. She had to wait until the Sabbath was over, and it could be that because the Sabbath ends at sundown, and the First Day or Sunday begins after sun down, she could not go because it was dark. She and everyone else needed to wait for the light.
I also need to specify that the 15th day of the first month, which begins the Feast of Unleavened Bread, is a High Sabbath. No work can be done, and the seventh day of the Feast is also High Sabbath, or a special Sabbath.

So Yehoshua died on the 14th of the First Month about 3:00 Pm. He was placed in the tomb, and Wednesday was in the tomb, and this is the 15th of the First Month, and is the Feast of Unleavened Bread. The following day, Thursday, the 16th of the First Month, they got the spices and prepared them for Him. The 17th was the weekly Shabbat, and rested. This is the time that He rose from the dead, in the evening of the Shabbat, after been three days and three nights in the tomb. He fulfilled the Prophecy of Yonah, three days and three nights in the grave.

Early Sunday morning they went to the tomb when it was light, but He was not in the tomb, He had already risen the evening before. Remember that the day begins at sundown; therefore Saturday evening after sundown is already the First Day of the week. And that is was causes problems for the translators. He rose on the Sabbath, for He is the Master of the Sabbath.
Marqos/Mark 2:28: “Therefore the Son of Man is also Lord (Master) of the Sabbath.”
He did not rise on Sunday, or He would have been not our Savior, but a false prophet. Many suggest that the Roman Catholic Church arrange this Friday to Sunday in the tomb, using syncretism, by mixing the true faith in Mashiach with sun god, they wanted to wipe out everything Jews that they could.
They also changed the Set Apart Day, the seventh day of the week, from Saturday to Sunday, and removed all the Feasts from the Calendar.
Three days and three nights, not a day or hour less than what He prophesied. There is much more to say on this subject, but I will stop here. He is our Savior and was raised from the death, and if you have doubts of this historical fact, you will die in your sins.
The Feasts were given to all of us, not only to the Jews. They received them first to teach us. The Feasts are prophetic shadow pictures of things to come. They teach us about the Mashiach, and they have to be rehearsed every year in their correct day.  Now knowledge is released to the Body of Mashiach, and we have an understanding which was concealed to us in the past, or before the Messiah came into this world. Yehovah prepared all of us so that we would get the true meaning of His death and resurrection when He would actually come and fulfill the Scriptures. Once again, I repeat, the Feasts are prophetic shadow pictures of things to come and also we are told to rehearse them in their season and time every year.
And now I will speak about The Feast of Unleavened Bread which is of the duration of seven days and as mentioned above, begins on the 15th or the day after the Passover, and ends on the 21th, on which days the believers are commanded to rest from work and assemble to worship the Almighty.
Wayyiqra/Leviticus 23:5-8: “And on the fifteenth day of the same month is the Feast of Unleavened Bread to YHWH; SEVEN days you must eat unleavened bread. On the first day you shall have a holy convocation; you shall do not customary work on it. But you shall offer and offering made by fire to YHWH for seven days. The seventh day shall be a holy convocation; you shall do not customary work on it.”
Leaven or yeast is a symbol of sin, hypocrisy and false doctrine. A week represents eternity and a house represents us individually and the congregation. We must be cleansed from every trace of sin to participate of the Feast. The Church and all assemblies need to be purged by Elohim from all sin, hypocrisy and false doctrine.
(Matt. 16:6-12)
Qorin’tiyim 1/1 Corinthians 5:6-8: “Your glorying is not good. Do you not know that a little leaven leavens the whole lump? Therefore purge out the old leaven, that you may be a new lump, since you truly are unleavened. For indeed Messiah our Passover, was sacrificed for us. Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, nor with the leaven of malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.”
Luqas/Luke 12:1: “…Beware of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.”

Anyone who acts religious but does not keep His Commandments is a hypocrite.
Qorin’tiyim 2/2 Corinthians 5:21, “For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of Elohim in Him.”

He was and always is sinless, for He is our Savior.
Yehoshua fulfilled the Spring Feasts, which are: Passover, Feast of Unleavened Bread, the Feast of First Fruits, and later on Pentecost. This is the Gospel, the Good News, and it is available to all who believe.
Yehoshua is the firstborn from the dead.
“He is the image of the invisible Elohim, the firstborn over all creation.” Qolasim/Colossians 1:15
“For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. Romiyim/Romans 8:29
We will also rise from the dead. We are not just dirt, nor simple matter that will return to the earth. We have a soul and a spirit that was given to us by Yehovah, the Creator of this Universe, via Adam, the first created man. Today, you can have eternal life with our Savior, if you embrace His Truth. Call upon Him to save you. Surrender all your problems to Him. Believe in Him the Master and Savior of your life, and see what He will do in your life. His love and peace will replace everything that now is causing you pain and sorrow.

Shalom!

MESSIAH AND THE SABBATH

(Part 8)
We believe that Yehoshua resurrected on a Sabbath, and that makes it very special to all of us. He did not rise from the dead on the sun-god day, but on the Sabbath. We count the omer from the Sabbath for the next seven Sabbaths, and this is already a strong indication that He rose on the Sabbath, and at the end of the day, when the sun was going down.   Yehoshua never told the apostles that the Sabbath would end when He would rise from the dead.  We actually know now from the discoveries of Jonathan Cahn that Yeshua or Yehoshua was born and died on the first day of the biblical month. That year the 14th day of the month was on the Wednesday, which makes His resurrection three days later on the weekly Sabbath.
As I have spoken earlier, He said that at the end times, we should pray that the anti-messiah or “antichrist” will not choose the Sabbath to manifest himself. This is basically what He said in Matthew 24:15-21. If that would happen, then we would be breaking the Sabbath when we would flee.
Yehoshua always kept the Sabbath day holy, but not as the Pharisees did.  He kept the Torah, but not the commandments of man, and I do the same.  I hope you also obey Him and keep only the Torah, and not the Takanot and Ma’asim of the rabbis or of men.
The Sabbath is a day to remember that the world was created in six days by Yehovah. He sanctified this day, and gave it to mankind as a day of rest. Our bodies need to be refreshed after six days of work. Many people only work five days, and stay off two days, however, they do not sanctify the Sabbath or the sun-day.  Actually they do not even rest. They are busy doing things, and many people have barbecues and spend time watching television and drinking, or doing anything and everything. Sabbath is also not necessarily a day to go to meetings, as Bible studies or other meetings. I do the meeting at erev Sabbath, or Fridays after sundown, which is Sabbath.
Catholics and Christians go to church on Sunday, and then they spend the day shopping and or watching television and do other things. They are not honoring Yehovah by keeping the Sabbath day holy. Sunday is not Sabbath. Yehovah never changed His mind on this matter. Man has changed the Commandment, but He is not involved in it.
In the past, and probably now, Israelis who lived in Yerushalayim/Jerusalem would go to the Synagogue on the Sabbath. However, it is not a command. We can stay home and worship our Creator at home by learning the Scriptures, and rest.  Those who have a family can have a special time together. The others do what they can by themselves. The main thing is to avoid certain activities, as mention earlier.
Certainly it is not wrong to assemble, but it is not a command. You need to focus on Yehovah, and on resting. When you go to some meetings you are not resting, and your mind is distracted by much talking, instead of listening to your Creator.  The body needs that rest, and so does your spirit.
Yehoshua went to the Synagogue and read.
Marqos (Mark) 1:21: “Then they went into Capernaum, and immediately on the Sabbath He entered the synagogue and taught.
Luqas (Luke) 2:16: “So He came to Nazareth, where He had been brought up. And as His custom was, He went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and stood up to read.”
He healed on the Sabbath.
Luqas (Luke) 13:14: “But the ruler of the synagogue answered with indignation, because Yehoshua had healed on the Sabbath; and he said to the crowd, “There are six days on which men ought to work; therefore come and be healed on them, and not on the Sabbath day.”
Yehoshua gave instruction on how to properly observe the Sabbath.  (Matthew 12; Luke 6.)
The disputes He had with the religious leaders was not because He broke His own commandment, but because they added so many rules that were not written in the Torah, but were their own teachings. You need to read all the verses concerning the Sabbath to learn that Yehoshua kept the day perfectly. But the Pharisees falsely accused Him of breaking the commandment. However He only broke their commandments, or takanot and ma’asim, but not the Torah.
Luqas (Luke) 6: 1-5,”Now it happened on the second Sabbath after the first that He went through the grainfields.  And His disciples plucked the heads of grain and ate them, rubbing them in their hands. And some of the Pharisees said to them. “Why are you doing what is not lawful to do on the Sabbath?” But Yehoshua answering them said, “Have you not even read this, what David did when he was hungry, he and those who were with him: How he went into the house of Elohim , took and ate the showbread, and also gave some to those with him, which is not lawful for any but the priests to eat?” And He said to them, “The Son of Man is also Master of the Sabbath.”
The disciples were not breaking any of the Commandments for taking the grain, cleaning it, and eating it. But according to the traditions of the Pharisees they were guilty. They had around one thousand and five hundred extra rules that are not in the Scriptures. No one could keep them, for they were commandments of man, and were oppressing the people, instead of helping them to obey Yehovah. Yehovah did not place burdens hard to bear to enslave us, but gave a few simple commands for the Sabbath.  Yehovah’s Torah, or Commandments are few and easy to follow, compared to those extra rules they were imposing on the faithful. Yehoshua declared to be the Master of the Sabbath, and He knows what He has written.
He did good things on the Sabbath. He healed and taught the many people who followed Him on the Sabbath and on every day of the week.
Mattithyahu (Matthew) 12:11-12: “Then He said to them, “What man is there among you who has one sheep, and if it falls into a pit on the Sabbath , will not lay hold of it and lift it out?” Of how much more value then is a man than a sheep?  Therefore it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath.”
If our Savior Yehoshua is the Master of the Sabbath, we should also do as He did: keep the Sabbath as He did, not as the Pharisees and other groups may choose to keep it. We cannot add nor take away from the Commandments. What He has given us is sufficient for us. We do not need to add anything.  We do not need to end up cursed as result of it. Amen.
At this point I do not need to explain the reason why religion has changed the Sabbath to Sun-day. I have written about these things in my messages in: “The Sabbath is a sign,” and in my message: “Three Days and Three Nights.” You may need to read the Scriptures and try to find one single verse of Scriptures that teaches that the Sabbath was changed to Sun-day. There is none, but many miss-interpret some verses of Scriptures because they do not even know that we celebrate more than just the weekly Sabbath in specific times of the Biblical year.  During the Feasts we may celebrate three Sabbaths in every Feast. The duration of the feast, of Passover and Sukkot is seven days which includes two extra Sabbaths, plus the regular Sabbath.  For instance when the Passover is kept, if that year the fourteen of the first month is on the Wednesday, which was the year the Messiah died and rose from the dead, then you would have two Sabbaths. One on the first day of Unleavened Bread, the 15th of the first month, and another is the weekly Sabbath, which precedes sun-day.   Once again, there are at least two but at three Sabbaths in each feast, depending which day they begin. The problem here is the churches do not teach on the Feasts, therefore the congregation is in the dark and do not understand the Scriptures. They teach Yeshua died on Friday, and rose two days later. This makes Yehoshua a liar! He forth told that He would die and rise again on the third day, not on the second! He is Yehoshua does not lie, but the teachers have lied to us.
As I said, you can ask me for those blogs; if they are no longer on the archives, or you may send me an email and I will send send them to you.
And now let us talk about the apostle Shaul/Paul. His writings have been so much misinterpreted by many people, and this is not funny.  However, the apostle Paul is not Elohim, and his word is not the Torah that was given to Moses.  He did not write contrary to Torah, because if he did, he would have been a false prophet.
We do find mistranslations in the Bibles we use, and a person needs to read the Scriptures in the Greek Bible to check the Word, in order to understand what he was saying. Once again, I need to mention that the Sabbath begins and ends when the sun goes down. After the meeting on Sabbath when the first day of the week, or Sunday, begins, it is customary to continue in fellowship. That time spent together with other believers is called “havdalah”, which means ‘separation.” Some people have a special ceremony, but of course it is not commanded in the Scriptures, but is something people may do. This meal is called ‘Melaveh Malka and it means “accompanying the queen.” This is just another way to say good bye to the Sabbath. There is a legend concerning this meal, but I will not write about it, for it is only a legend.
In Ma’aseh (Acts) 15:19-21 we read of the immediate counsel given for the new believers, who had been in deep sin. But in the end they said that the Torah is read in the congregation every Sabbath. Therefore it is understood all believers could go to the synagogue and learn with all believers.  New believers cannot grasp everything in one session. They needed time to adjust to the brand new life style as believers. But they were not told that they were only required to keep those few rules, and that was all they were required to do. If someone teaches this, he or she is teaching error. The commandments are still to be obeyed by all. Once again I remind all of us, that if we love our Creator, we must obey Him. Obedience is the sign of our love to Him.
As I already mentioned, Yehoshua said: “Pray that your flight be not be in the winter or on Sabbath.” (Matthew 24:21). He was talking on the times the anti-Messiah would be revealed. That means He did not change the rules, but enforced them. We have to keep the Sabbath forever. And I will end with this thought now. We cannot make excuses just because we want to do what we want to do. If we think that way, we are walking as lawlessness individuals and we will be judged. I do not judge anyone, but the Word itself is our judge. I will be also judged if I chose to keep my mouth shot and say nothing just because I do not want to offend someone.  I will not do that. I am concerned about you, and I will say to you what I have learned. You have the responsibility to search the Scriptures for yourself and do what they say. I do my part, and you will do your part. Amen.
If today you do not know if your name is written in the Lamb’s Book of Life, you can make sure. Confess your sin, and repent to Yehovah. He is always near you and he will answer you. You may not hear an audible voice, but He will speak to your heart, if you listen.
Yo’el (Joel) 2:32 “And it shall come to pass that whoever calls on the name of Yehovah shall be saved.”
All you need to do is to call upon that blessed Name, and He will answer you.  He will direct you to the Son.
Yochanan (John) 3: 16 “For Elohim so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”
Today is your day, do not wait for tomorrow, for it may never come.
(I use the title Master instead of Lord since even the devil and all the sun gods are called Lord.)
I am preparing a few more messages on this subject, and I hope you will continue to read them all.
Yehovah bless you and keep you,
Yehovah make His Face shine upon you, and be gracious to you;
Yehovah lift up His countenance upon you, and give you Shalom.
(Bemidbar /Numbers 6:24-26)
If you do not know Yehovah as your Creator and His only Son Yehoshua who died for your sin, you can call upon His Name today and be saved.  Today is the day of salvation. Tomorrow it could be too late.
“Barukh HaBa ba’Shem YHWH!”  “Blessed is He who is coming in the Name of YHWH!”
“…Hoshia-na! “Barukh is He who is coming in the Name of Yehovah! Barukh is the coming reign of our father Dawid – in the Name of Yehovah Hoshia-na in the highest!”
