THE SABBATH

Part 4

In this message I will continue to proclaim the Scriptures that Yehovah has given us. His Word is an eternal Word. He has declared that He does not change, as I always remind the reader.

“For I am Yehovah, I do not change."

Mal’aki/Malachi 3:6

When He, Yehovah, blessed the seventh day, He did it once and did not have to say it again in the future. Make sense? He is not as we are. We may have to repeat things over and over, but He said it, and it is done forever.  However, He has given us many Scriptures to remind us of keeping the Sabbath day holy.  He also said:

Her priests have violated My laws an profaned My holy things; they have not distinguished between the holy and unholy, nor have they made known the difference between the unclean and the clean; and they have hidden their eyes from My Sabbaths, so that I am profaned among them.

 Yechezqel/Ezekiel 22:26

I hope the above verse is sufficient for you who believe in Yehovah, whom you have been taught to call “the LORD.” If you do not keep the Sabbath, you are indeed profaning the Elohim you say you love and you are serving. This is serious matter.

Yehoshua said it this way:

“Do not think that I came to destroy the Torah or the Nevi’im. I did not come to destroy but to complete.

Mattithyahu/Matthew 5:17 HS

“Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill.

Mattithyahu/Matthew 5:17 NKJV

Please understand that we serve the same Elohim now, after Yehoshua came to die and to rise again to save us from our sin. There is only one Elohim. Yehoshua, who is also called Yeshua, which is the contracted form of Yehoshua. He came to this world to save sinners. He gave us what we needed to be saved: His Blood. Yes, He died and gave His Blood for us, for we know that without shedding of blood there is no remission.

For a testament is in force after the men are dead, since it has no power at all while the testator lives. Therefore, not even the first covenant was dedicated without blood. For when Moses had spoken every precept to all the people according to the law, he took the blood of calves and goats, with water, scarlet wool, and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book itself and all the people, saying, “This is the blood of the covenant which Elohim has commanded you. Then likewise he sprinkled with blood both the tabernacle and all the vessels of the ministry. And according to the law almost all things are purified with blood, and without shedding of blood there is no remission.

Ivrim/Hebrews 9:17-22

This is what Yehoshua came to fulfill, or to make complete. But He did not destroy the Law and the Prophets.

It is important to say now that Yehovah, Yehoshua and the Ruach HaQodesh (Holy Spirit) is ONE Elohim (God), and not three independent gods, as many may think.  Each one has His special office. Yehoshua and the Father are One Being. As you read in the Scriptures, He could do nothing apart of the Father Yehovah. Nothing changed when He came, except He added something that was missing: His own life. The Commandments alone could never remove our sin. However, they revealed and still reveal our necessity of the Savior.

Yehoshua never said: “You shall not keep the Sabbath,” when He Himself kept the Sabbath with all the apostles. Nothing changed. What changed was what the church has done because of idolatry.

The commandments are forever.  We will still be keeping the Sabbath until the New Heaven and the New Earth, as mentioned in other messages. What this means to us is that if we have breath, we will keep the Sabbath, as we also obey the other commandments, such as “You shall not murder” and so forth.

But those who keep it are only the ones who have chosen to become part of His family. The sabbath is not a command for the unbeliever. We already said that the Sabbath began at the seventh day of Creation, and Yehovah rested.

Let us read the following verses.

“Also the sons of the foreigner who join themselves to  Yehovah to serve Him, and to love the Name of Yehovah, to be His servants-Everyone who keeps from defiling the Sabbath, and hold fast My Covenant-even them I will bring to My holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer. Their burnt offerings and their sacrifices will be accepted on My altar; for My house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations.” Adonai Yehovah, who gathers the outcast of Israel, says, “Yet I will gather to him others besides those who are gathered to him.”

Yeshayahu/Isaiah 56:6-8

The word foreigner in Hebrew is nakar. And it means that all foreigners, all gentiles, are accepted by Him when they join themselves to love His Name, Yehovah, and to serve Him. They become one with the descendants of Israel. But with the privileges come also the duties. A child must obey the parent’s rules. And adopted son has the same privileges and the natural son and has to obey his parents as the natural children.

Why has been so difficult to understand this commandment by some people? I believe it is because of false doctrine.  We have been lied by our leaders.

Yehovah has never said that it was a mistake, or that He blessed that day only for short time until He would come into this world and change it. We have so many verses on the Sabbath, and Yehoshua always kept the Sabbath. The Sabbath has to be kept as a Command from the Almighty, the Creator of the Universe. I do not oppose Him or deny His Commands, and I hope you will not oppose Him either.

Let us read another verse of Scripture.

For if Joshua had given them rest, then He would not afterward have spoken of another day. There remains therefore a rest for the people of Elohim.

Ivrim/Hebrews 4:8-9 NKJV

This verse has been corrupted by the translators, it actually supposed to be different, if you check the Greek Scriptures.

Let us read it with the translation that correctly translates this verse.

For if Yehoshua established them in rest, he would not have spoken of another day after that. So there remains a Shabbat keeping for the people of Elohim.

Ivrim/Hebrews 4:8-9

The Scriptures is speaking of Joshua, which in reality is the Name of Yehoshua, for there is no J in the Hebrew language. Yehovah gave Israel the Promised Land, and they are there now again. But that was not the rest, the rest was the seventh day of Creation, when Yehovah rested from all His labor.  The Sabbath begins Friday after sundown, and ends Saturday at sundown. On the Sabbath we must abstain from work, and we need to rest. Our bodies were created to rest on the Sabbath, and not any other day of the week.

I need to mention again, that the Commandments are give to us to protect us from evil. In fact if we disobey Him, Satan will oppress us. The commandments are for our benefit. For instance, the dietary law is for our heath benefit, not to oppress us.  If we obey Him, as He teaches us in Wayyiqra/Leviticus 11  and Devarim/Deuteronomy 14, we will live a healthy life, but if we discard His teachings, we will get sick, and our lives will be shortened.

We will go to Heaven, if we are born again, but we may go there very sick and very early.

Yehovah has not given us any commandment to ignore, or to substitute with something we like. He does not give us the freedom of choice when He says something to us. Either we obey Yehovah or we disobey Him, and if we disobey Him we are practicing lawlessness!

“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Adonai, ‘Adonai, (Lord, Lord), shall enter the kingdom of Heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in Heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, “Adonai, “Adonai, have we not prophesied in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’

Mattithyahu/Matthew 7:21-23

Please read all the scriptures. Please also read Wayyiqra/Leviticus 23 which teaches us about the Feasts of Yehovah. Every feast has a Sabbath the first day and the last day, and most times one in between. Usually Passover and Sukkoth have three Sabbaths. This is why the church says that Yehoshua died on Friday, and they make Him rise on Sunday, however He rose on the weekly Sabbath and died on a Wednesday.

But I will now speak about this now. Please read the Scriptures from Bereshit/Genesis toChazon/ Revelation to receive the full understanding of the Word of Yehovah.
