How can we have intimacy with Elohim[i] without
having Him seen? How can we love a person without having spoken with that
person?
Yehovah is first of all
our Creator. Genesis 1:26 “Let Us make man in Our image, according to
our likeness.”Yehovah[ii]
has given us many insights of who He is, and what He has done, and what He
wants us to know of Him, and what he expects of us. We have read that He is our
Maker. He has created the universe, (Genesis I-15), and then He has created us
in His Image. To be created in His image does not mean we look like him. He is
Elohim and is invisible to us. He is Spirit. John 4:24 “Elohim is Spirit, and those who
worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.” Mosheh/Moses wanted to
see His glory and he said to Yehovah, Exodus 33:18 “Please show me Your glory.” Yehovah promised He would manifest Himself
to him. He actually describes Himself to Mosheh and all of us who now read His
word, Exodus 34: 5-7
Now Yehovah descended in the cloud and stood with him there, and
proclaimed the name of Yehovah, 6 And Yehovah
passed before him and proclaimed, “Yehovah, Yehovah Elohim, Merciful and gracious,
longsuffering, ad abounding in goodness and truth, 7 keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving
iniquity and transgression and sin, by no means clearing the guilty, visiting
the iniquity of the fathers upon the children and the children’s children
to the third and the fourth generation.”
Now that we have read this passage together we have learn who He is. He
certainly is who He says He is. He is Elohim and does not lie. Numbers 23:19
declares, “Elohim is not a man, that he should lie, nor a son man, that He should repent. Has he said,
and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good? Now who spoke these words was a greedy and bad prophet whose name is Balaam. He had been hired by Balak, to curse Israel, but he could not do it, and
instead he had to bless them. (Numbers 22-23). We can trust what He said to be true, or he would have cursed Israel and become rich. but he could not. Balaam said what he knew to be true. Yehovah does not lie, and and He also
never changes. Malachi 3:6 declares, “’For I am Yehovah, I do not change.”
Now it is up to us to
believe Him or not believe Him. however, he never changes. He is Yehovah, Our Creator,
and no religion institution can change or annul that. He has indeed created
the universe in six literal days and no man can ever be able to duplicate that,
even if they say it is impossible. 'some say they are god here on this earth, but they are in sin, and very deceived indeed! Yes, I agree that to a man it is impossible
to create the world in six day, but not to Yehovah who is El[iii]
Elyon (El the Most High) and El Shaddai (El Almighty). El Gibbor (A Mighty El) He is and
all Powerful and He is the El Olam (Everlasting Elohim). He will
not give His glory to another. Isaiah 42:8 declares, “I am Yehovah, that is My Name;
and My glory will not give to another, nor My praise to carved images.”
Because of who He is,
He has established rules in His Kingdom, for He is also Yehovah King forever
and ever, Yehovah Melekh Olam Va’ed! I believe that knowing these
things, we need to accept his teachings and obey His Commands. But He wants us
to get to know him intimately. How can we do that? By prayer, and obedience. By
first of all receiving His love, and giving out His love. By walking in
reverent fear of Him. Proverbs 15:33"'The fear of Yehovah is the instruction of wisdom, and before honor is humility."
We also must be choosing not to disobey His Commandments. (See Exodus
20). He also is very merciful and has sent His own Son to deliver us from the life of sin we have
chosen to be in. The Bible declares all of us sinners. And sin releases the penalty of
death. Ezekiel 18:4 “All souls are Mine; the soul of the father as well as the soul of the
son is Mine. The soul who sins shall die.” Romans 3:23 For all have sinned and
fall short of the glory of Elohim.” The following verse is very important, “24
Being justified (made righteous) freely by His grace through the redemption
that is in Yehoshua[iv]
Mashiach[v],
whom “Elohim set forth as a propitiation by His blood, through faith.” Yehovah
sent His only begotten Son to die and He shed His blood for us, in order for the Father to be able to forgive us our
sin, and receive us as His children.
(see John 1:12; 3:16 ) Sin had separated us from the Father, " Your iniquities have separated you from your Elohim; and your sins have hidden His face from you." (Isaiah 59:2) Once we understand this
fact, it is easy to open our hearts and invite Yehoshua into our life. We must first of all repent
of our sin to the Father. Declare our trust in Yehoshua's sacrifice for our sins. In humility ask Yehovah to forgive us. We must recognize
our lost condition, and without hope, apart from His mercy. We all come short of His glory or righteousness.
Once we repent, the block that sin had created, is removed, and then we can
know him experientially, and intimately, for He will live His life in us. We will desire to live for Him and to pray. Worship will come easy to us. Are you willing
to surrender your life to Yeshua? Just pray in your own words, ask the Father to forgive you from your heart, and receive His forgiveness. If you need more
