IS SPEAKING IN TONGUES FOR TODAY?

Tongues are Part of The Great Commission.
And He said to them, “Go into all the world and proclaim the Good News to every creature.
16 “He who has believed and has been immersed, shall be saved, but he who has not believed shall be condemned.
17 “And these signs shall accompany the ones who believe. In My Name they shall cast out demons, they shall speak with renewed tongues.” Marqos/Mark 16:15
Today I need to address this topic because I heard so much criticism about speaking in tongues.  I also read false statements of well educated  persons concerning the spiritual language called “tongues”
The critics are those who follow the catholic holy days, who taught, contrary to Scripture, that Yehoshua was born on December 25, died on a Friday and rose on Sunday, and made Sunday the day of worship. We do not for sure the exact day of His birth, but according to the Scriptures He had to be born in the fall, In the
Sukkah, which is also called manger. This event had to have taken place  during the Feast of Sukkoth, or Tabernacles, which is celebrated around September-October, and for sure not on December 25th on the sun-gods birthday! This is a false teaching. Please read Wayyiqra/Leviticus 23, and Devarim/Deuteronomy 16,  about the Feasts of Yehovah.
The Protestant churches have separated from the Catholic Church when Luther realized the false teaching in the Vatican. However, they have not gone back to obey the Commandments, but kept the catholic holidays. And some of these churches refuse to teach on the Baptism of the Holy Spirit and the gifts of the Spirit, which include tongues, or supernatural languages, either angelic or languages, such a French, German, Chinese, Japanese etc. Please read Qorin’tiyim 1/ 1 Corinthians 12, 14.
Those churches say the tongues passed away, but they cannot find one verse in Scripture that validate their teaching! They also cannot find a teaching saying that the Sabbath, is only for the Jews. Read about the Blessed day in Bereshith/Genesis 2:1-3; Shemoth/Exodus 20:8-11.
They have also removed other commandments, but I will not go there now.
You see, when a religion removes even just one Commandment is teaching false doctrine. That denomination or church is fighting against Yehovah Himself who is the author of the Commandments.
Taking tongues which has been given to the believer in Yehoshua to receive the power needed to minister and evangelize in the Spirit. Please read Ma’aseh/Acts 1:8, and 2:1-21.

The Assemblies have been robbed of the Power of Elohim!
Ma’aseh/Acts 1:8 “But you shall receive power when the Ruach Ha’Qodesh/Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you shall be my witness in Yerushalayim, and in all Yahudah (Judah) and Shomeron, (Samaria), and to the end of the earth.”

Ma’aseh/Acts 2:1-4 “And when the day of the Festival of Shavuoth (Pentecost) had come, they were all in one accord in one place.
2 and suddenly there came a sound from the shamayim, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filed all the house where they were sitting.
3 and there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and settled on each one of them.
4 And they were all filled with the Ruach ha’Qodesh (Holy Spirit) and began to speak with other tongues, as the Ruach gave them to speak.”

Please continue to read the whole chapter.
The enemy has done it, but believers should have not listened to Satan, but to Yehovah alone. They should have taken the time and ask the Ruach ha’Qodesh/Holy Spirit why they could not speak in the supernatural tongues, for usually when the person cannot receive the gift is because there is some sin in his life or in his  generational blood line. They may be under a curse which also can be removed through repentance and deliverance.
Please read Qorin’tiyim 1/1 Corinthians 12, 14 and ask Yehoshua to fill you with the Holy Spirit. You must come to Him in humility, for Yehovah will not tolerate a proud heart.
Why so much opposition?
We are at war with the powers of darkness who desire to silence the believers.
We must notice that Yehovah is the author of this outpouring and Yehoshua said that the apostles and disciples had to wait for the “Promise of the Father.” (Ma’aseh/Acts 1:4).
Yehovah is not like us, who may give a gift and take it back later. What He gives us is forever. All we are required to do is to be  faithful and good stewards of His blessings. We also need to be thankful.
Yehovah has chosen specific dates and times to commune with man.
The Feasts are Divine Appointments of Yehovah with man on His terms, and on His specific times every year. They are celebrated on the right date and in the way He has chosen, not on our way, when we want, and how we want.
Every Feast had to be fulfilled, for the Feasts are Historical, and prophetic shadow pictures of the Gospel. They speak to us about Yehoshua and His mission of Redemption.
The Feasts are a great blessing to us.
“Remember the Shabbath day, to qadosh[i] it.
The Sabbath, is Saturday, and not Sunday, which is the sun god day of worship.  Every week Yehovah has given us one day to visit with us in a very special way.
I have learned to be quiet on the Sabbath, and wait on Him, our Creator. He is always ready to commune with us, His children.
Please do not listen to false teachers who are convincing the ignorant sheep to stay away from speaking in tongues. They say that He did not mean for us to continue to speak in tongues all the time, and that it was only a special gift, for the apostles and only for them for that time. Read the Word for yourself, and talk to your Elohim (God) for He is waiting on you to come to Him. Let Him know your fears, and He will teach you. He is compassionate and gentle, and He will answer all your questions. You belong to Him, and have become part of His family if you are born again of Him, and therefore you are welcome into His presence in the Name of Yeshua.
I pray for such souls. I pray the Fear of Yehovah would come upon those teachers and be converted. The Blood of Yehoshua cleanses us from all sin, and I pray for their cleansing also. I pray they repent and surrender their lives to Yehovah and serve Him only.
Why speaking in tongues?
Again, please read Qorin’tiyim 1,12, and 14. The reason we need tongues is first of all Satan does not understand them, and is frustrated. This is the reason he incites division in the body to block the power of Yehovah that he fears because he is defeated.
When we speak in tongues our mind is unfruitful, and we are at peace. We are speaking the prayer according to the will of Yehovah for it is He, the Ruach ha’Qodesh who is praying and interceding according to the will of the Father. Praying in tongues brings us closer to our Father in Heaven. Each prayer we pray is answered. Now you understand why Satan and his demons are so angry? They have  been defeated and can do nothing about it! Tongues are a spiritual weapon against the devil. When we pray we are defeating the devil, and at the same time   we become edified spiritually.
The apostles brought some order in the assembly for they were new believers. They did not yet know how to differentiate the difference between the prayer in tongues and the prophetic words in tongues Yehovah wanted to give to them to build them up. Therefore, he told them to pray that they would interpret their tongues.  I had to do the same thing, for I had the gift of prophetic tongues, but did not yet interpret. However, each time Yehovah gave me a message in tongues someone was present to interpret.  The Apostle Shaul, Paul, said, “Therefore, brethren, desire earnestly to prophesy, and do not forbid to speak with tongues. 40 Let all things be done decently and in order.  Qorin’tiyim 1/1 Corinthians 12:39-40.
And this is the advice I give to all believers. When you receive the Power of the Ruach ha’Qodesh and speak in tongues, please do not become proud, but humble yourself and love your neighbor as yourself.  You do good when you prophesy and you do good only when you pray in a meeting together with all believers when the worship is going on.
Love Yehovah and Yehoshua with all your heart, and live a holy life. Avoid sin, and when by chance you need to repent, do it immediately in order for you not to give place to the devil and receive an evil spirit because of your sin. Repent quickly, and walk in love.
Enter in through the narrow gate! Because the gate is wide-and the way is broad-that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter in through it.
14 Because the gate is narrow and the way is hard pressed which leads to chai/life, and there are few who find it. Mattithyahu/Matthew 7:13
Persecution is sure to come, for they persecuted Him, and they will persecute you also.
“Remember the Word that I say to you, ‘A servant is not greater than his master. If they persecuted Me, they shall persecute you too. If they have guarded My Word, they would guard yours also.” Yochanan/John 15:20 HS
Barukh/blessed are those persecuted for righteousness’ sake, because theirs is the reign of the shamayim/Heaven. Mattithyahu 5:10 HS
Be careful to follow Yeshua’s teachings, and not deceptive teachers. Do not walk in fear. Yehoshua will not give you a serpent when you ask him for His Spirit!
“And what father among you whose son asks for bread shall give him a stone, or if he asks for a fish shall give him a snake instead of a fish. HS
12 or if he asks for an egg shall give him a scorpion? 13 “If you then, being wicked, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more shall your father from shamayim give the Ruach ha’Qodesh/Holy Spirit to those asking Him!” Luqas 11:11-13 HS
He is the Authority, and He is your Judge on the last day. Make up your mind never to deny any gift Yehovah has in His ability to give you when you ask Him,
Shalom

[i] Hallowed it.
