(Part12)
This message will not be too well received from
Christianity, especially those who are still in a particular church. But the
truth has to be spoken in order to set the oppressed free. We should ask a
simple question: Why do not the Christians observe the Sabbath? Most Christians
have been fed a certain gospel which is lacking truth, but they do not want to
change even when confronted with the facts.
The fact they refuse to keep the Shabbat does not
change the Command given to us by Yehovah Himself. He is the one who commanded
us therefore it is a personal responsibility to obey Him, or not obey Him. Of
course disobedience releases some penalties, but, again, it is a matter of
choice. All I do together with many others is to tell the truth, and this truth
can be verified.
Let us be aware that Catholics and Christians
worship on Sunday, the day that has been dedicated to the sun god worship. In
other words it is simple Ba’al worship, or a day that has been official
dedicated to the sun. Is this what we Believers want to do? I do not think so,
not if you really love Yehovah? Why should you disobey Him? Is this your
devotion? Sunday worship has been created by men to replace the Sabbath, and it
was not Yehoshua or Paul to do so.
I read that Thomas Aquinas once said:
Traditionally the adoption of Sunday observance in place of the seventh-day Sabbath has been attributed to ecclesiastical authority rather than to Biblical precept or mandate, for example, states Categorically: ‘In the New Law observance of the Lord’s day took the place of the observance of the Sabbath, not by virtue of the precept (Fourth Commandment) but by the institution of the Church.”
We learn that the same issue was enforced as we read
in the Catechism of the Council of Trent (1556) which states, ‘It pleased the Church of God that
the religious celebration of the Sabbath day should be transferred to ‘the
Lord’s Day.’
Of course there were some controversies in the
sixteenth century, but they explained that it is the Church’s power to do so.
We can read about this at the Lutheran Augsburg Confession (1530) which
declares: “They (the Catholics) refer to the Sabbath-day as having been changed
into the Lord’s Day, contrary to the Decalogue (Ten Commandments), as it seems.
Neither is there any example whereof they make more than concerning the
changing of the Sabbath-day. Great, say they, is the power of the Church, since
it has dispensed with one of the Ten Commandments!’”
My hope is that you, follower of the Mashiach, will
realize that the church has no power to alter or remove any of the Words of Yehovah.
If anyone presumes to do so, it is to their own detriment. Eventually they will
have to give an account to Yehovah, and they will have no excuse. The sun will
not speak for them, for the sun is only a star made by the Supreme Being, and
cannot speak or help them. It is high time for the truth to be believed and
obeyed. Let us not follow man’s traditions and false teaching, but follow only
the Giver of Life, who is Yehovah Himself.
The Nazarene’s faith was challenged from the first
and second century AC. “Ignatius, The Bishop of Antioch wrote in a letter to
the Magnesians, ‘If then those who had walked in ancient practices attained
unto newness of hope, no longer observing Sabbaths but fashioning their lives
after the Lord’s day, on which our life also arose through Him and through His
death which some men deny…”
There seem to be various translations to this
document they all conclude there was a new stress or importance to changing the
worship day to Sunday. This letter was written only a few decades after the
death of the original disciples. This should make anyone aware of the danger of
paganism. Ignatius was from Antioch, where the Nazarenes was now called
Christians.
Ma’aseh/Acts
11:26 “…And the
disciples were first called Christians in Antioch.”
Antioch was a place deeply rooted in paganism;
therefore it is no wonder that Bishop Ignatius would accept the new day of
worship. It seems that the people living in that area were easily led to
believe false doctrines. The Temple of Fortuna in Antioch was eventually
rededicated by Christians, as they also did so in Israel. When pilgrims go to
Israel they are taken to churches that were pagan temples, I heard. You can
find out yourself, and see this is correct or not.
At the time that Ignatius wrote the letter, there
were many problems already in the Congregation of Believers. They began to mix
truth with error, and this will not produce good fruit. Something has to go,
either the truth or the error. However, error cannot survive in the Kingdom
of Elohim. Yehovah will reveal it, and eventually it has to change. Yet, it seems it has survived, but it is not accepted in the Kingdom
of Yehovah, even though they claim to have succeeded.
Yehoshua warned the disciples of future
problems.
Mattithyahu/Mattithyahu
7:15-21 “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. 16 You will know them by their fruits. Do men
gather grapes from thorn bushes or figs from thistles? 17 Even so, every good tree bears good fruit,
but a bad tree bears bad fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bad fruit, nor can a bad
tree bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down
and thrown into the fire. 20 Therefore by their fruits you will know them. 21
Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven,
but he who does the will of My Father in heaven”
When anyone changes the Word is not producing good
fruit, and when a person knowing the truth, still continues in the traditions
of men, is also not bearing good fruit. You can finish the thought. And now listen to Sha’ul/Paul.
Ma’aseh/Acts
20:28, 29 “Therefore take heed to yourselves and to all the flock, among which
the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God which He
purchased with His own blood. 29 For I know this, that after my departure
savage wolves will come in among you, not sparing the flock. 30 Also from among
yourselves men will rise up, speaking perverse things. To draw away the
disciples after themselves.”
Sound familiar?
You can discern for yourself if the apostle or
others have done the damage in the Kingdom of Yehovah.
Timotiyos
2/2 Timothy 4:3-4 “For the time will come when they will not endure sound
doctrine, but according to their own desires because they have itching ears,
they will heap up for themselves teachers; 4 and they will turn their ears away
from the truth, and be turned aside to fables.”
Next verse 5 states, “But you be watchful in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of
an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.”
We should listen to the Word and do what it says.
Amen.
Kepha
2/ 2Peter 2:1,2 But there were also
false prophets among the people even as there will be false teachers among you,
who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who
bought them, and bring on themselves swift destruction. 2 And many will follow their
destructive ways, because of whom the way of truth will be blasphemed. 3 By
covetousness they will exploit you with deceptive words; for a long time their
judgment has not been idle, and their destruction does not slumber.”
Let us be awake and be discerning of the times we
are living, and do the necessary changes we must do in order to be in His
Kingdom.
My friend, you will decide whom you will follow: Yehovah or the doctrines of men.
