THE LOVE OF MONEY

Shalom my friends.

Although I am in a very special period of my life, and I am resting from writing, today I thought of doing this little message, and I hope you will be blessed.

Money is one of the means that helps us during this life, but the love of money is indeed the root of all evil.

Let us read together the following verses in Yehovah’s Scriptures.

Now godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. And having food and clothing, with these we shall be content. But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and harmful lusts which drown men in destruction and perdition. For the love of money is a root of all evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. But you, O man of Elohim, flee these things and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, gentleness.

Timotiyos 1/1Timothy 6:6-11

First of I need to speak about the Person we need to love. The Scriptures are very clear: We must love Yehovah, who is our Creator and Savior, and not things He has created.

Hear O Israel: Yehovah Eloheinu, Yehovah is One! You shall love Yehovah your Elohim with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength.”

Devarim/Deuteronomy 6:4

You shall not take vengeance, nor bear grudge against the children of your people, but you shall love your neighbor as yourself: I am Yehovah.

Wayyiqra/Leviticus 19:18

Yehoshua quoted these verses when He said:

“You shall love Yehovah your Elohim with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ On these two commandments hand all the Law and the Prophets.”

Mattithyahu/Matthew 22:37-40

We are not commanded to love things, for in fact this is going to be a snare to us. The true love must be given only to Yehovah and to our neighbor, which includes all mankind.  All other things we say we love may very well cause us to lose our soul.

People very often say: “I love candy.”  “I love my new car.” “I love my new house.” These are the love of things, which should  not be placed at the same level as loving Yehovah and our neighbor.

In Italy we do not say “I love candy, or I love my car, rather we say: “A me piace questo vestito.” (I like this dress.” To a friend or a brother or any relative we do not say “I love you,’ but  “Ti voglio bene.” However,  it is intended to mean much more than “Mi piace il gelato’ or I like/love ice cream.’

The above Scripture, Timotiyos 1/1 Timoty 6:10  is incorrect. The translators in the NKJV changed the word “the ” into “a” by writing “The love of money is a root of all evil.” Instead of the correct way as it is in the KJV,  “The love of money is the root of all evil.” My Italian Bible SBBF says the same thing: “Poiche’ l’amor del denaro e’ radice d’ogni sorta di mali.”  It says it is the root of all kinds of evil!

When a person steals to get money will loose his soul. He is breaking the second Commandment because he is not loving his neighbor as himself, and  because he is stealing from him, and is breaking the 8 commandment, which states: “You shall not steal.”

“He overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his Elohim (God) and he shall be My son. But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murders, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.”

Chazon/Revelation 21:7-8

I firmly believe that the translators have changed such important word because the idolatry of the prosperity message. Instead of using what the Bible says, they changed it not to offend the prosperity teachers! But they will give an account on Judgment Day to their Creator. We cannot change the Word of Yehovah to please men. They have changed many important words and some Scholars are now finding out. Devarim/Deuteronomy 4:2 declares: You shall not add to the Word  which I command you, nor take away from it, that you may keep the commandments of Yehovah your Elohim which I command you.

We should be thankful of the money Yehovah enables us to have and be content of what He gives to us.

But many people who love money in a way they should not love, in a way that causes them to sin and commit murder to obtain the things they love so much, will end up in Hell.

They desire such things as to wanting to become a millionaire, or to have a big mansion, or to have their own airplanes, can be the wrong kind of ‘the love of money and is the root of all evil. For example, people, lie, steal, and kill for money. This you agree, it is evil, and it is the root of all evil. Not the money itself, but is the lust for money that causes people to lose their soul, unless they repent and stop pursuing the wrong things.

Let us be always concerned about our spiritual walk with our Savior, and make sure our names are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life in Heaven.  Stop lusting for money which will certainly  cause you to sin. Love Yehovah with all your heart, and your neighbor as yourself, and trust Yehovah to provide you with everything you have need of. Be content with what He gives you and stop striving to be rich. Not everyone is born to become rich.

El Kanna, A Jealous El, this is our Elohim. He will not share you with the devil.

El Nose’ El… Who Forgives…He will forgive you….repent and be saved.

Until next time

Shalom
