LOOK AT ME! I AM BEAUTIFUL!

Today I have been considering what I see on certain television shows. I am not talking about worldly shows, or even news casts, but televisions programs that are used to proclaim the gospel of Yehoshua HaMashiach, who is also called Jesus Christ.

As you already know, if you are reading my blogs, I prefer to use the correct name of our Creator, Yehovah, and of His only Ben/Son Yehoshua HaMashiach. Yehoshua has also a contracted form which is Yeshua, and it means Salvation or Savior, but His Name Yehoshua means Yehovah Saves. Names in Hebrew have a meaning.

The name Jesus means nothing, and is purely an invented name by some religious group in the past, but it is still used by most clergy. I do not agree, but this is up to them.

But permit me to speak on something that bothers me a lot. And I know it is not glorifying the name of Yehovah whom we proclaim.

Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of Elohim (God). - Qorin’tiyim 1/1Corinthians 1:31

Taking this verse into consideration, what we eat or drink, or whatever we do in life, as followers of our Savior, we should do for the glory of Yehovah, and not to prove who we are, or what we have or not have. We must always live our lives in His Presence and be approved by Him, as we intentionally glorify Him in our lives.

If this is what we supposed to do, I have a big question to ask to some of the preachers on television or in many churches.

For some strange reason women in ministry think and act as though the more expensive clothes, shoes, scarfs or anything they put on, is giving glory to Yehovah showing how much He has blessed them!

However, they are telling the world that they are beautiful and glamorous, but I disagree on the being glorifying Yehovah! Their skirts my be above the knees; their arms may be completely bare and when they raise their arms you can see the inside underarm; their pants may reveal the form of their bodies; and the shoes may have 5 inch heels with the bottom of their shoes red, which supposed to be expensive. Let me tell you that have expensive clothes does not glorify Yehovah, but more on this subject later on.

They look more like a fashion model than a woman who worships her Creator.

You may use pants, but the pants although may cover your body reveals the shape of your anatomy. Why show your body to all? You belong to Yehovah alone, not even to yourself anymore!

I personally know a woman that soon after her salvation experience she cut all her pants and made them into skirts, because she felt Yehovah was not pleased with her wearing pants. I am not talking of wearing man’s pants, she had used women’s pants, however she felt that it was not glorifying Yehovah by using pants. Eventually she bought pants, but they were baggy pants, not normal pants.

However, women who supposed to be holy unto Yehovah, now they even use the skinny pants! What happened to modesty? Should our appearance attract men? The clothes are to cover ourselves and to be indecent and provocative.

I believe such women have forgotten that they are members of the Body of Messiah, and that they have been bought with a prize. A very costly price, which is the death of their Savior, Yehoshua HaMashiach, who did not die to make them a show, but to sanctify them unto Himself!

Do you not know that your bodies are members of Mashiach? Shall I then take the members of Mashiach and make them members of a harlot? Certainly not! Or do you not know that he who is joined to a harlot is one body with her? 17 For the two, He says, “shall become one flesh.” But he who is joined to Yehovah is one with Him.

Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Ruach HaQodesh (Holy Spirit) who is in you, whom you have from Elohim, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify Elohim in your body and in your spirit, which are Elohim’s. - Qorin’tiyim 1/1Corinthians 6:15-17, 19-20

You see, we are not called to show how rich we are, and how much we are following the fashions of the world. We are in the world, but we are not supposed to live as the world.

We have been transformed into spiritual beings. We have the Spirit of Elohim in us, and we are called to be salt and lights to this world.

You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men. You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lamp-stand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let you light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.

Mattithyahu/Matthew 5:13-16

I know that showing our body parts, and or revealing them, it is not acceptable to Him.

Some of you leaders, may disagree, but I suggest you spend more time in the Presence of Yehoshua daily, and less time going shopping. Use that money to buy clothes that glorify Yehovah alone, not self and others.

Be more concerned about buying some nice clothes for your husband and children, rather that wanting to dress like a model, for you are called to be holy.

For I am Yehovah your Elohim, You shall therefore consecrate yourselves, and you shall be holy; for I am holy.”- Wayyiqra/Leviticus 11:14

Frankly I do not see consecration in certain clothes that some women use on Christian Television! Women, please think before you go shopping, and go out with Yehoshua and not with the fashion model. This message if for all Christian women, and non Christian, if you would apply it it would help you too.

A word to married women.

Wives, likewise, be submissive to your own husbands, that even if some do not obey the word, they, without a word, may be won by the conduct of their wives, when they observe your chaste conduct accompanied by fear. Do not let you adornment be merely outward-arranging the hair, wearing gold, or putting on fine apparel-rather let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the incorruptible beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of Elohim. - Kepha 1/ 1Peter 3:1-4

I heard a husband describing one of his wife shopping trips with him. She went in and out of shops trying to find the perfect dresses and shoes she wanted to by. He finally sat outside on a bench waiting on her. Finally she came out with packages and told her husband she bought something for him, too. His eyes it up! But, son changed into a disappointed look. She got him some undergarments and T-shirts! His mouth dropped! She could have, at least, pick up a nice dress shirt for him, or a tie, or anything worth while. She was very practical for him, but she spent hundreds or thousands of dollars for her own clothes to show on her next television program. I consider this sin.

Such women, I must say it again, need to spend more time in the presence of Yehovah and Yehoshua, with the Ruach HaQodesh, and get to know Him intimately. They would realize that the outward aspect for their bodies is not as important.

Thy have misusing their time, money and talent.

There spiritual walk with Him is much more valuable. To shine His light is what we are called. To be salt is our duty and responsibility. Not to spend so much time and money on clothes that do not glorify our Savior, but rather shines the wrong light the other believers.

Our clothes speak of our inner being. Flesh ministers to flesh, spirit to spirit.

Let us be sober and vigilant, and stop giving the devil opportunity to hurt us and others with our appearance and attitudes.

I hope this little message has helped someone today.

Peace, love and joy, to you until next time.
