A PURE HEART

I have spoken about a pure heart before in other messages.

The aim of a person who has dedicated his or her life to follow the Way, who is Yehoshua (Jesus) HaMashiach (the Messiah), needs to be one pleasing to Yehovah in every way of their lives.

Mattithyahu/Matthew 5:8 “Blessed are the pure in heat, for they shall see Elohim.”

Does it mean that if our heart is not pure, we will not see Him? Yes. Yehoshua said it.

What is a pure heart? Obviously a pure heart is someone whose heart is clean without corruption. Sin corrupts the mind, intention and actions of a person. To have a pure heart is to be holy unto Yehovah. We were born with the propensity to sin, therefore we all sinned.

Romans 3:23

For all have sinned, for all have fallen short of the glory of Elohim (God).

However, Yehovah has called us to be holy.

Wayyiqra 11:43-44

You shall not make yourselves abominable with any creeping thing that creeps; nor shall you make yourselves unclean with them, lest you be defiled by them. For I am Yehovah (the LORD) your Elohim. You shall therefore consecrate yourselves, and you shall be holy.”

To be consecrated to Him it means to be separated from the ways of the world. It means to live a life totally dedicated to Him and to obey his Word. It means not to be doing the things everyone else does. It means to be different than those around us. It means to walk in the light, as He is the Light.

Here are some verses that may help us.

Mattithyahu 5: 3-12

3 “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

4 Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.

5 Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherited the earth.

6 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled.

7 Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy.

8 Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see Elohim.

9 Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of Elohim.

10 Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

11 Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake. 12 Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in

Heaven for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.”

Yehoshua continues to say the we are the salt of the earth, however, so many of His followers have lost the flavor because they imitate the world’s ways. They speak like them, and they dress like them. We are called to be separate. The world has to imitate us, not us the world!

Therefore they are good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by by men (see verse 13).

We supposed to be the light of the world. The ones who show the way to those in darkness. We cannot hide our light, but let it shine (see v. 14). However, I conclude that we fall short of being all Yehovah wants us to be. We must change!

I am appalled when I see men or women on television who are preaching the gospel with clothes that shows or reveals the contour of their bodies. And also shows their legs and bare arms. They do not realize they are compromising their consecration.

I Timothy 2:8-9 I desire therefore that the men pray everywhere, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting; in like manner also, that the women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with propriety and moderation, not with braided hair or gold or pearls or costly clothing, but, which is proper for women professing godliness, with good works.

Maybe this is the problem why we do not see the glory coming down on the altars as it could be. Maybe there is more that we are not doing to manifest the holiness of Yehovah as we are called to do. Men, and women, please, stop using pants so tight that show your skinny or fat legs, and or pants that are purposely broken. You are not a beggar, and you do not have to identify to those who obviously do not know who they are.

You are not a beggar. You are a child of the King of Kings and Master of Masters, the Elohim of the Universe, dress like a king, and not like a beggar! It does not glorify Yehovah or Yehoshua. The women dress with short dresses and show all their arms. Why is this wrong” Because it makes men, or even women, to lust, and that is sin. We suppose to be holy. We have the light, and must help others to walk in the light, not the other way around.

Women that Yehovah used in the past to release His presence and glory dressed with long dresses and had their arms covered. They were beautiful.

Kathryn Kuhlman is one of them. She dressed like a princess.

Let us remember that we are kings and priests to our Elohim, not beggars.

Kepha 1/1 Peter 2:9 But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; who once were not a people but are now the people of Elohim, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy.

Let us be modest in our apparel, and not try to out do the world with fashion. Be simple and we will attract the lost to Yehoshua. This is supposed to be your goal.

Let us be modest, unassuming, and demonstrate our humility and holiness to the world who is in desperate need of purity. Let us be holy in word and deed. Amen.

You may want to order one of my books on Amazon. “The Lost Sheep” is the last one I have written. Thank you.
