“2 My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, 3 knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience.” Ya’aqov/James 1: 2-3 (NKJV)
In the Greek language the word HUPOMONE is used for the word patience. It means to abide under, to abide. It gives the idea that you must not give up during trial, but must endure until the end.
“13 But he who endures to the end shall be saved, 14 and this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come. Mattithyahu/Matt. 24:13
We cannot give up!
“But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.” Ya’aqov/James 1: 4
Trials seem to be the soil that patience develops. But who is the one that desires to have patience at the cost of his comfort? Yet after we have endured the trials, we can say that we have gained some patience, and certainly more humility. There are various trials I will talk about today.
And one of those trials is false accusations.
I have gone through a period of testing, which was not at desire to go back into the world to sin, but a testing of enduring love. I had to endure false accusations of jealous people who have tried to destroy my character. I was accused of lying and doing something that would have never entered into my mind. Another person said that I actually had spoken lies about her, and did not believe me when I spoke truth.
All of them expected me to agree with them, and say, yes to their accusation! The more I tried to tell them that I did not do what they said, the more they became inflamed against me. That was a test for me to keep on loving them in spite of what they were doing. It required patience on my part as I waited on Yehovah to defend me, and eventually He did.
He raised another person to speak on my behalf, and the truth became evident. But I had to wait.
That was a very trying time. However, the enemy of our soul has not completely stopped. He still tries to make me lose my patience, but I choose to let go by not keeping the offense and praying for them. It is not a easy walk, but it is worth the effort.
I believe Yehovah had allowed this time of testing to teach me to quickly forgive. I do forgive immediately, but the hurt in the soul needs to be removed through prayer, and that also has to be dealt immediately. I have spoken about this in another message.
There are various degrees of hurt caused by accusations.
The degree that we get hurt by such accusations depends on who is the accuser. If it is only a stranger we can let go quickly. But if it is a close member of the family or someone that we thought to be our close friend, and then the hurt is more painful, at least for me it is.
I personally expect such people to know me, for if they knew me they would not believe such lies. They would not insult me, but treat me with respect, as I do them. But I have to realize that this world is not living according to Yehovah’s ways, and the enemy of Yehovah’s greatest enemy is also ours, therefore we should not be surprised. The enemy wants to negatively affect our relationship with the lover of our soul, and by doing this He is actually fighting against Yehovah.
We as His children are precious to Him. He delights in each of us. Satan is jealous of this love relationship and attacks us. But we are more than conquerors through Him who loves us.
Satan cannot separate us from the love of Elohim.
Romiyim (Romans) 8:35-37 Who shall separate us from the love of Mashiach (Messiah)? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? 35 As it is written:"For Your sake we are killed all day long; We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter." 37 Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. 38 For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, 39 nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of Elohim which is in Mashiach Yeshua our Master.
Why I hurt so much?
My main concern has been when they attack my reputation. I did not want that people would believe their words, and I would be considered to be a “bad” person.
But eventually I learned to let go, for Yehovah is the only one who knows us, and He will vindicate us.
Yehovah Ish Milchamah, (Yehovah a Man of war). He knows how to fight my battles that seem so great to me, but to Him there are as nothing.
The armies of Heaven are under His command. Yehovah Elohe Tsavaoat (Yehovah Elohim of Hosts).
He is committed to His children, and no weapon that rises against us will prosper.
Yeshayahu/Isaiah 54:17 No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of Yehovah, and their righteousness is from Me," says Yehovah.
Therefore let us live for Yehovah and let us not listen to the accuser of the brethren, who accuses us day and night. ( See Chazon/Revelation 12:10)
Live a clean holy life.
As long as we are not found guilty by Him, we should rejoice even in these times of trials, not matter what the trials may be.
I have noticed that many times those accusers are hiding sin in their lives, and that is the causes of their confusion and irritation. And to top it off, they may also suffer of a lack of memory. I have notice this fact lately. It is amazing how many people in their fifties forget things. Usually such people took drugs in the past, and their mind is no longer whole. They also have mental blocks. They do not remember what they have done, and they may accuse others of wrong doing. Their memory is fuzzy. They refuse to take responsibility because they do not feel they are doing anything wrong. This is a big problem in America. Understanding these things makes things easier to forgive them. We must still love them, no matter what, for love covers multitudes of sins, no matter how much they may hurt us, we must forgive in love.
Sickness is are another type of trial.
When people get sick they pray for healing but it seems that Yehovah is not answering their prayers.
Those times are very special and they should help us to increase our trust in Yehovah. We should take extra time seeking Him by reading and meditating on His Word and in prayer.
When He delays in answering our prayers, He is not wasting time, but is trying to take us to another level of faith.
Therefore Yehovah will wait, that He may be gracious to you; And therefore He will be exalted, that He may have mercy on you. For Yehovah is a (God) Elohim of justice; Blessed are all those who wait for Him. Yeshayahu/Isaiah 30:18
Eventually Yehovah will release the miracle. And then He will use us supernaturally as will testify of His goodness toward us. We will have a testimony and we will share of our own shortcomings in the process of waiting. But we also will testify of his faithfulness. We will speak of His ability to help us even in desperate situations and of His tender patience with us. We will have received a great revelation of Who He is. Yehovah does not waste time. If we have surrendered our lives to Him, He will not allow anything to our lives that is damaging for our growth in the knowledge of Him.
One huge mistake some people make is to stop loving and serving Him when they become afflicted. They expect the false gospel that there is no tribulation in this life for the believer, therefore they choose to let go of their Him. But eventually He will bring them back to Himself as He will lovingly show them the way.
Our faith needs to become solid.
Sickness should lead us closer to Him, not away from Him. Sometime He does not heal us immediately because of our sin. Sin may have hardened our heart. But when we repent and learn to become totally dependent on Him, He will release the miracle. I heard of cases when He did not heal a Christian because she had unforgiveness in her heart. But in the very moment she forgave, He healed her.
What can we do to help those who suffer?
We need compassion to minister to the sick. Yehovah needs to give us a heart of compassion in other for us to be able to minister to His people. And many times He allows discomfort in our own lives to teach us greater spiritual truths. I know it happened to me!
Yehovah is concerned about our whole being, which includes spirit, soul, and body. If there as shadows in our soul, we need to face them and be made whole through the shed blood of Yehoshua.
4 Surely He has born our griefs and carried our sorrows; Yet we esteemed Him stricken, Smitten by Elohim, and afflicted. 5 But He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed.
Yeshayahu/Isaiah 53:4-5 (NKJV)
Yehoshua’s blood was shed in order for us to be made whole. We need to constantly repent of our sin and be cleansed by His blood. We must forgive those who offend us. Quickly repent to Yehovah as soon as we become offended and let go, in order to have a pure clean conscience. If we truly love our neighbour we will forgive every offense immediately.
Through the many trials in our lives we need to also exercise patience.
“ So let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete lacking nothing.” Ya’aqov/James 1:4 (NKJV)
Proclaim with all your heart with me: Yehovah Eli, (Yehovah is my El)
Yehovah Rophekha -Yehovah Who Heals You.
Yehovah Chizki -Yehovah My Strength!
Yehovah Ro’i - Yehovah My Shepherd!
Be secure in His constant love toward you. Amen.
