CONSUMING FIRE

CONSUMING FIRE
How many times have we listened to the message that declares that Yahweh is a Consuming Fire?
Devarim/Deuteronomy 4:24: “For Yahweh (the LORD) your Elohim is a consuming fire, a jealous El.
Wayyiqra /Leviticus 19:2 “Speak to the children of Yisra’el, and say to them, ’Be qodesh (holy), for I Yahweh your Elohim am qodesh.”
If you also have attended such meetings you realized how sinful you were, and your heart was stirred with passion toward Yahweh. Immediately with great emotion and determination you cried out:  “Father burn away all dross from my life, I want to be purified! Send the fire! Send the fire! Send the fire!  I want to be pure and holy as you are. Help me to become the person you created me to be. I want to be holy, make me holy. I want to please you and only you. Help me to be holy.” You probably continued praying, as I have, asking with all your heart to make you the person He, Yahweh, created you to be. When you prayed you did not know how He would cleanse you. You thought that He simply would take away all iniquities from your heart by merely touching you and making you perfect! However, shortly after this prayer,  you discovered that He does not do things that way.
You may have read some of the psalms over and over again. You may also have prayed the following prayer:
“Show me Your ways, O Yahweh (LORD); Teach me Your paths. Lead me in Your truth and teach me, For you are the Elohim (God) of my salvation; On You I wait all the day. (Psalm 25:4-5)
When you prayed the sanctification prayer, to want to be holy as He is holy, it was indeed the will of your Heavenly Father in heaven. Nevertheless, you learned quickly that His ways are not your ways.
Yeshayahu 55:8-9 “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways,” declares Yahweh. 9 For as the shamayim (heavens) are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than you thoughts.” Yahweh is our Creator, and He knows what He has to do for us to completely be cleansed from our iniquities. Since the fall of Adam we have been fallen away from purity and holiness. We have to face our own sin and our wickedness before we can be cleansed and become what we were created to be. If He would just say the Word and make us clean we would be still full of pride and think that we are better than the rest of humanity. But when He allows us to fall it is His way to completely set us free from our sin. When we miss the mark of perfection, we must immediately repent of our sin. We cannot disregard our wrong doing. We must cry out to Him to make us clean again, and continue the walk of trust in Him alone. Those times are precious and powerful that enable us to know that without Him we are nothing. You may have heard the teaching that you are a little god, but discard that teaching as from the pits of hell. Think on these things and be made whole in Him.
At this point many of you reading this message may say: “But the cross took away all my sin. I am pure.” I will answer you this way. Yes, He did pay the price for you and you were cleansed then. But if you did not die immediately, and go to heaven, you will go through many tests, and endure many temptations, which you must resist.   You will find yourselves in situations that your faith will be put to the test. You will indeed become Holy as He is holy, but not without shedding many tears of repentance when you realized you messed up big time. You will face yourself and see the impurities and realized as Shaul (Paul) the apostles, that you are indeed a wretched man!
Romans chapter seven has bothered me in the beginning of my walk with Yahweh and His Ben (Son) Yahoshua (Jesus), but now I have a better understanding.
Shaul is speaking about the Torah that reveals our sinful nature. Without the Torah sin is dead, for we do not recognize that we are sinners. But the Torah or the Commandments shine the light into our hearts, and we discover that we miss the mark of perfection. In verse 24 of chapter seven we read the following: “Wretched man that I am! Who shall deliver me from this body of death?”  Then in verse 25 we read the answer: “Thanks to Yahweh, through Yahoshua our Adon (Lord)! So then, with the mind I myself truly serve the Torah of Yahweh, but with the flesh the law of sin.”
What the fire of Yahweh does when it is released into our lives is to reveal to our own self our sinful ways, and show us our frailty or shortcomings, and our wickedness. Yahweh may let us do or say something we would normally not do or say because we know it is sin. And I believe that He tried to stop us, but we did not hear the voice of the Ruach HaQodesh (Holy Spirit) convicting us. We ignored Him. And in moments of stress the enemy temptation becomes stronger than ever and we may fall. Yahweh is waiting on us to quickly repent and forsake that sin, in order for Him to deliver us from that particular sin forever.
This is the fire we cried out for it. Holy Fire is good, for it cleanses and enables us to see our wretchedness. We become all He has created us to be if we yield to the fire. Let us indeed cry out to Him, “ Yahweh Send the Fire! Send the Fire! Send the Fire!” I welcome the fire of Yahweh for His ways are not my ways, but they are better and much more profound than my fleshly ways. I suggest that you will allow His fire come into your life in order to purge and cleanse you now, for the time is short before the return of our Mashiach, our Savior and our Deliverer. Let us allow Him to do what He knows it is necessary for our cleansing. We must cry out for purity and holiness. We must seek Him with all our hearts and submit to His ways. Do not shrink back from the fire thinking it is too hard and you cannot do it. His grace is sufficient for each purging we go through and our character will become sanctified. Our inherited pride will fall away, and we will have move love and compassion for the sinners we try to bring into His kingdom. O Yahweh, send the fire I pray. Do not stop cleansing us! Please keep on purging us, and let you light shine through us that we may die to self, and be truly your people called by Your Name. Come Yahoshua, and cleanse Your Bride. Come now!
Amen!
