So many people will be celebrating Good Friday this year, and have no clue that that day is connected with the Biblical Pesach (Passover). However we do not celebrate Passover according to the days of the week, but according to specific dates.
Shemoth (Exodus) 12:1 And Yehovah spoke to Mosheh and to Aharon in the land of Mitsrayim, (Egypt), saying, 2 “This month is the beginning of months for you, it is the first month of the year for you. 3 Speak to all the congregation of Yisra’el, saying, ‘On the tenth day of this month each one of them is to take for himself a lamb, according to the household. 4’And if the household is too small for the lamb, let him and his neighbour next to his house take it according to the number of the beings, according to each man’s need you make your count forte lamb. 5 Let the lamb be perfect one, a year old male. Take it from the sheep or from the goats. 6 And you shall keep it until the fourteenth day of the same month. Then all the assembly of the congregation of Yisra’el shall kill it between the evenings. 7 ‘And they shall take some of the blood and put it on the two doorposts and on the lintel of the houses where they eat it. 8And they shall eat the flesh on that night, roasted in fire-with unleavened bread and with bitter herbs they shall eat it.”
These few sentences explain the biblical Passover. First of all we notice that the Lamb was taken into the house on the tenth day of the first month, which is the month that Israel had been delivered from slavery from the land of Mitsrayim (Egypt). They lived in that country about 430 years when Yehovah sent Mosheh (Moses) to deliver them and to take them back to their Promised Land.
We will not and talk much about all the miracles and signs and wonder today, but I want to remind the reader that Yehovah never forgets His Covenant with Yisra’el and will always fight for them.
Today we speak about the actual time of their deliverance. Yehovah remembered the Covenant with Avraham, Yitschaq and Ya’aqov, and He released them from the oppression of Pharaoh. He is always faithful.
Yisra’el had to obey Yehovah’s (the LORD) commands.
On the tenth day of the first month, or four days before Yisra’el left Egypt they had to get an unblemished lamb and keep it four days in their home. They had to become attached to the lamb, and watch it to make sure the lamb was indeed perfect.  Then four days later, they had to kill it at twilight and apply the blood on the doorposts and the lintel. If they would not apply the blood they would also die in the last plague which was the death of the firstborn. The blood was their protection from sure death.
The lamb had to be perfect for the blood to be perfect.
Shemoth 12:13-14, ‘and the blood shall be a sign for you on the houses where you are. And when I see the blood, I shall pass over you, and let the plague not come on you when I smite the land of Mitsrayim.  14 And this day shall become to you a remembrance. And you shall observe it as a Festival to Yehovah throughout your generations-observe it as a Festival, an everlasting Law.”
Yisrael obeyed Yehovah and that night they became free from slavery.
Unleavened bread had to be eaten with the lamb.
15 ‘Seven days you shall eat unleavened bread. Indeed on the first day you cause leaven to cease from your houses. For whoever eats leavened bread from the first day until the seventh day, that being shall be cut off from Yisra’el.
Why Yehovah gave commands?
The Feasts of Yehovah or the Appoint Times of Yehovah are listed in Wayyiqra 23, and in Devarim (Deut.). 16:1-2, 5-7. The Feasts are the blue print of the life and ministry of Yeshua our Mashiach (Messiah).
Yehovah does not delight in giving unnecessary commands. He does not afflict us with rules and regulations just because He wants to give us something to do.
The Feasts of Yehovah are historic and prophetic. This is the main reason, I believe, we must rehearse them every year. We gain knowledge and understanding by remembering the past which shines life to the future.
His Word is eternal and it is profitable to instruct us, to bless us, to lead us into all truth. His word is perfect and is purified seven times! He is perfect therefore everything He says is perfect. Everything He has created it is good and perfect.
Most of His Feasts listed in Wayyiqra 23 have been fulfilled once, except for the Feast of Trumpets, which we believe will be fulfilled at Yeshua's (Jesus)  second coming.
Yeshua  ha’Mashiach is our Pesach or our atonement.
Pesach (Passover) reminds us of the deliverance of Yisra’el from Mitsrayim, and it was fulfilled in the Mashiach about 2000 years ago in Yisra'el.
We read that Yisra’el had to choose an unblemished lamb and keep it four days. I suggest to you that the unblemished lamb was a shadow and type of the Mashiach who would one day in the (4th) fourth thousand year of Creation would come to this planet to die for our sins.
Elohim gave us four thousand years (or four days) to learn about Him, our Creator. But we messed up big time from the very beginning, and things have become worse with every passing day. Yehovah sent us the Savior.
One day is a thousand years.
Kepha (Peter) 2, 3:8 But, beloved ones, let not this one be hidden from you, that with Yahweh one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
Yehovah sent His Ben Yeshua, (Son Jesus), to become our Sacrificial Lamb. Yehovah had this plan in mind from before the creation of man. He was not caught by surprise by man’s disobedience. He is Elohim, and as Elohim and Supreme Being of the Universe, He knew He needed to redeem us from the curse we brought upon ourselves through our own sin. I will speak about curses in another message, but for today we speak about our deliverance, for each of us has sinned.
Roman 3:23 …for all have sinned and fall short of the esteem of Elohim (God).
The soul who sins shall die.

Yechezqel (Ezekiel) 18:4 “See, all beings are Mine, the being of the father as well as the being of the son is Mine. The being that is sinning shall die.”
His love is greater than His judgment.
Romans 5:8 But Yahweh proves His own love for us, in that while we were still sinners, Mashiach died for us.
After four days the Lamb was sacrificed and the blood applied.
Yeshua is our Sacrificial Lamb
Yochanan (John) was the last prophet that appeared in Yisra’el before the arrival of the Mashiach (Messiah).
He was chosen by Yehovah to prepare a people for the coming of the Mashiach. (Yochanan 1:19-28)
Yochanan 1:29 On the next day Yochanan saw Yeshua coming toward him, and said, “See, the Lamb of Yehovah who takes away the sin of the world! `
Yeshua fulfilled the Passover when He died for our sins about two thousand years ago. He was not stoned to death, as some tried to do, but died according to the Scriptures. He was crucified.
Tehillim(Psalms) 22:16-17 For dogs have surrounded Me; the congregation of the wicked has enclosed Me, they pierced My hands and My feet; 17 I can count all My bones. They look and stare at Me.
He was crucified and they indeed pierced His hands and feet.
Luqas (Luke) 23:32 There were also two others, criminals, led with Him to be put to death. 33 And when they had come to the place called Calvary, there they crucified Him, and the criminals , one on the right and one on the left.
Yeshayahu (Isaiah) 53: 4-5, 10-11 Truly, He has borne our sicknesses and carried our pains. Yet we reckoned Him stricken smitten by Elohim, and afflicted. 5 But He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our wickednesses. The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed. 10 But Yehovah was pleased to crush Him, He would see a seed, He would prolong His days and the pleasure of Yehovah prosper in His hand. 11 From the suffering of His life He would see light and be satisfied. Through His knowledge My righteous servant makes many righteous, and He bears their wickedness.
Yehovah Himself gave Him up to be crucified for our redemption.
During the first Pesach (Passover) the blood had to be applied on the door.  By applying the blood the everyone inside that house would live.
Yeshua has shed His Blood of to protect us from the enemy, the destroyer. We apply His Precious Blood on our mind, body, and soul. We also apply His Blood to everything we posses. His Blood is so precious and powerful that the enemy, Satan and his demons cannot come near a person who is covered with the blood of Yeshua. In His Name and by applying His Blood we have access to the Father. If we do not have our sins cleansed with His Blood we cannot enter into the Presence of the Father. If we do not cover ourselves with the Blood, our sins remain. When a person believes that Yeshua is the Ben (Son) of Yehovah, Who became the Ben of Adam for a season in this world, that person can enter into His Kingdom.  Just as the Blood had to be applied on the Door, so we must applied the Blood on our lives. Each of us need to experience our own personal Passover!
Ivrim (Hebrews) 9:22 According to the Torah/Law almost all things are purified with blood, and without shedding of Blood there is no remission of sins.
Yeshua is our Passover Lamb, and His Blood purifies us and make us whole.
Let us celebrate this Passover with the understanding of the supreme sacrifice that Yeshua bought our salvation. Let us, yes, remember the pain and hardship Yisra’el suffered in Mitsrayim. Eventually Yehovah gave His People the animal sacrifices to atone for sin. Each of those various sacrifices reveal to us His holiness, and the need of shedding of blood to redeem us from our sin.
Yeshua fulfilled the Korban Olah, (Burnt Offering); Mincha (Meal Offering), Shelamim (Peace Offering); Chatat (Sin Offering). He is also our Asham, (Guilt offering).
Yehovah sent His own Ben/Son to pay for our sin a debt we could not pay, and He Himself came in the person of His Only Ben, to die for us.
Animals could not take away our sin.
Sin came through man, and man had to die for it.  But Yehovah hates human sacrifice, therefore He sent his only Ben to be our Sacrifice. He had to take human form, and be sacrificed as the Pesach lamb and His Blood had to be applied to the door of our heart. We cannot come into the Presence of the Father in Heaven, without the Blood of His Ben. His Blood is also our weapon against the enemy. If you doubt that Yehovah has a Ben, please read with me the following verses.
Tehillim 2: 7, I inscribe for a law: Yehovah has said to Me, ‘You are My Ben, today I have brought You forth. 8 Ask of Me and I make the gentiles Your inheritance, and the ends of the earth Your possession. 9 Break them with a rod of iron, Dash them to pieces like a potter’s vessel.”
12 Kiss the Ben, (Son), lest He be angry, and you perish in the way, When His wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all those who put their trust in Him. ( His Name is Yeshua, which means Yehovah saves.)
Mishley(Proverbs) 30: 4 And Who has gone up to the shamayim and come down? Who has gathered the wind in His fists? Who has bound the waters in a garment? Who established all the ends of the earth? What is His Name, and what is the Name of His Ben, if you know?
We know His Name for He was manifested in the Flesh and became Man.  He died for our sins, and He rose from the dead on the third day at Feast of First Fruits. Because he rose we know we will also rise again.  I will continue this message on my next message.
But now please, seek Yehovah and ask Him to reveal His Ben to you. Ask Him to reveal the Feasts to you personally, and He will answer you. And when you get to know Him, serve Him, and be a vessel of honor on this planet, and then you will inherit eternal life.
