FROM THE BEGINNING: YAHOSHUA

Part 2
Today I continue to speak about our Mashiach Yahoshua also known as Jesus the Messiah.
In my other message we have determined that He is the Ben (Son) of Yahweh. We read that Yahoshua was born in a specific place.  Mikhah prophesied the exact place He would be born.
Mikhah (Micah) 5:2 “But you, Beyth Lechem Ephrathah, you who are little among the clans of Yahudah (Judah), out of you shall come forth to Me the One to become Ruler in Yisra’el. And His comings forth are of old, from everlasting.”
This prophecy was fulfilled.
Luqas 2:4-7 And Yoseph also went up from Yahudah, to the city of Dawid, which is called Beyth Lechem, because he was of the house and lineage of Dawid, 5 to be registered with Miryam, who was engaged to him-being pregnant. 6 And it came to be, that while they were there, the days were filled for her o give birth. 7And she gave birth to her first-born Ben, and wrapped Him up, and laid Him down in a feeding trough, because there was no room for them in lodging place.”
He is the King of Yisrael for He is the Descendant of king Dawid in the natural, and of the tribe of Yahudah. Yahoshua was of the same city and tribe of King Dawid. He was the prophesied descendant to the Throne of Dawid.
Bereshith 49:10 The scepter shall not depart from Yahudah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh comes; and to Him shall be the obedience of the people.
Shiloh is another name for the Mashiach.
We read of His genealogy in the book of Mattithyahu (Matthew) chapter one. However, in the KJV Bible there is a mistake.
Mattithyahu 1:16 “And Jacob begot Joseph the husband of” Mary” of whom was born Jesus (Yahoshua).”
The Hebrew gospel of Mattithyahu is correct as it states that Joseph is the father of Mary not her husband, for Yahoshua was not the Son of Joseph the husband of Mary, but the Son of Yahweh.  He was born of the Ruach haQodesh as it was prophesied. (See Yeshayahu (Isaiah) 7:14)
The translators have done many mistakes in their translations, but hopefully they did only in ignorance. The original gospel of Mattithyahu is correct.
To whom did He come?
We read in the gospel of Mattithyahu the account of a woman of Kena’an who came to seek deliverance for her demon possessed daughter. Yahoshua at first did not want to help her because he said that He was not sent except to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
Mattithyahu 15: 24 And He answering, said, “I was not sent except to the lost sheep of the house of Yisra’el.”
Luqas (Luke) 19:10”for the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.”
He was from the House of Yahudah, and the House of Israel was dispersed. But He came for the whole house of Yisra’el, Yahudah and Ephrayim, who is now in the process of becoming one House. As a whole his own people did not receive Him because it did not conform to their expectations. They were looking for a Mashiach that would deliver them from the Romans. They did not realize they needed a Savior that would set them completely free from their sin forever, if they believed in Him.
He also rebuked them because they added so many traditions of men making the pure Torah almost invisible to the people and very difficult to obey.  (See Mattithyahu 23).
They ignored the word in Devarim (Deuteronomy) 4:2 “Do not add to the Word which I command you, and do not take away from it, so as to guard the commands of Yahweh your Elohim which I am commanding you.’
The Torah is light
Tehillim (Psalms) 119:105 Your Word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.
Yochanan 8:12 Therefore Yahoshua spoke to them again saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall by no means walk in darkness, but possess the light of chai (life).

Religion made it almost impossible for them to see the Living Word of Yahweh. And now the Light of the World was walking among them, but their eyes could not see.
Yahoshua came to fulfill the Scriptures that spoke of Him. He was going to remove their sin by becoming their Pesach or Passover Sacrifice. But they chose to kill Him.
Tehillim (Psalms) 2:1-4 Why do the nations rage, and the people plot a vain thing? 2 The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against Yahweh and against His Anointed, saying, 3 “Let us break their bonds in pieces and cast away their cords from us.”

Yochanan 11:47-53 So the chief kohenim (priest) and the Pharisees gathered a council and said, “What shall we do? Because this Man does many signs. 48 “If we let Him alone like this, they all shall believe in him, and the Romans shall come and take away from us both our place and nation.” 49 And one of them, Qayapha, being kohen ha’gadol (high priest) that year, said to them, “You know naught, 50 neither do you consider that it is better for us that one man die for the people  than that the entire nation should perish.” 51 But he did not say this from himself, but being kohen ha’gadol that year he navu (prophesied) that Yahoshua was about to die for the nation, 52 and not for the nation only, but to gather together into one the children of Elohim who were scattered abroad. 53 So from that day on they plotted to kill Him.
He was rejected!
Yochanan (John) 1:11 He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him.
Yahoshua prophesied His own death over and over, but they did not understand.
Luqas 24 7 ‘saying, “The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.’”NKJV
Luqas 24:46 Then he said to them, “Thus it is written, and thus it was necessary for the Mashiach to suffer and to rise from the dead the third day, 47 and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His Name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.”
The religious leaders, the Pharisees, wanted a sign.
Mattithyahu (Matthew) 12:39-40 But He answering said to them,”An evil and adulterous generation seeks after a sign, and no sign will be given to it except the sign of the navi (prophet) Yonah (Jonah). 40 For as Yonah was three days and three nights in the stomach of the great fish, so will the Ben of Adam (Son of Man) be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.”

When did He come to His own people?

He came at the expected time as the angel had foretold to the prophet Dani’el.
Dani’el 9:25-26 “Know, then, and understand: from the going forth of the command to restore and build Yerushalayim until Mashiach the Prince is seven weeks and sixty-two weeks. It shall be built again, with streets and a trench, but in times of affliction.  26 And after the sixty-two weeks Mashiach shall be cut off and have naught. And the people of a coming prince shall destroy the city and the qodesh place. And the end of it is with fighting until the end.”
All this took place. Yahoshua died for our sins before the destruction of the Temple in 70AD.
His first coming was to the lost sheep of Yisra’el. He was born as a Man in order to be able to be tempted by Satan as a Man, for Adam was tempted, but fell. Yahoshua could to not fall to the lies of satan, and He did not fall, but became our Passover Lamb (Yochanan 1:29) He gave His life for you and me and the whole world. Whoever believes in Him has eternal life.
Yochanan 3:15 For Elohim so loved the world that He gave his only brought-forth Ben (Son), so that everyone who believes in Him should not perish but possess everlasting Chai (Life).

 He fulfilled Yeshayahu 53
Yeshayahu (Isaiah) 53:1- 12 speaks of the Mashiach who would come to pay the price of the redemption of Yisra’el and of the whole world.  Yahoshua died for our sin.
Zekharyah (Zechariah) 12:9-10 And it shall be in that day that I seek to destroy all the gentiles that come against Yerushalayim.
10 “And I shall pour on the house of Dawid and on the inhabitants of Yerushalayim a spirit of favour and prayers. And they shall look upon even whom they pierced, and they shall mourn for Him as one mourns for his only son. And they shall be in bitterness over Him as a bitterness over the first-born. (cont. 11- 13)
Zekharyah 13:6 “And one shall say to him, “What are these wounds in your hands? And he shall say, ‘Because I was wounded at home by those who love me.’

Yahoshua was crucified and His hands were wounded.
This message cannot contain all the fulfilled prophecies of Mashiach. However, I will continue to speak of Him on my next messages.
Please read the books of Mattithyahu (Matthew) Marqos and Luqas and discover your Mashiach. I cannot speak in detail of all that took place two thousand years ago in Yisra’el concerning the Mashiach in this little message.
However, if you are indeed thirsty for Yahweh and desire to know truth that will change your life, you must read the scriptures from the Book of Bereshith (Genesis) where you will read of
The first prophecy about Him
Bereshith 3:15”And I put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her Seed. He shall crush your head, and you shall crush His heel.”
And continue reading to the book of Revelation that is found in the so called “New Testament.”  They will help you to know Him whom you have been looking for all your life. When you find Him, your life will not be the same. Peace, love and joy will manifest in your own life as you receive Yahoshua as your Savior and Master. Eternity will no longer be a question mark in your mind, but a reality to be experienced.
Unless, of course, you already know Him and if you do… then you can also make His Name known all over the world! Please write to me at; shomerhatorah@gmail.com if you have any questions. Thank you.
